Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

Yes! We have a hotel room block at the Holiday Inn Express West Ashley/Charleston. The hotel is about 15 minutes away from The Island House. There are also tons of hotels in Downtown Charleston and Airbnbs close by. More information is on the travel page!

Can I bring my kids/ a plus one

Answer

Unfortunately, we are at our max guest count which means we are sadly unable to accommodate kids and/or additional guests. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. Thank you for understanding.

What is the wedding dress code

Answer

Semi-formal attire is perfect for our celebration. We want you to feel comfortable while looking polished for the occasion. Please avoid wearing white or green. For women: A below-the-knee dress, dressy skirt and top, or elegant pantsuit would be lovely. Since we're gathering on the lawn for our ceremony, flats or wedge heels are ideal. For men: A light dress shirt paired with khakis or lightweight slacks works beautifully. Jackets and ties are entirely optional.

What type of food and drink will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?

Answer

We’ll be serving light snacks during cocktail hour, followed by a barbeque buffet style dinner. And of course, dessert!

Yes, both the ceremony and reception will be held at The Island House

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our wedding will be held outdoors with water views. Late March weather in our area typically ranges from the high 60s to the high 80s, so you may want to bring layers for the evening!

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes, there is ample parking available on site. Vehicles may remain overnight but must be collected by 9 am. The venue is also conveniently accessible for rideshare services like Uber.
