We are both Connecticut natives. Krish grew up in Westport, using video games to push off developing social skills. Ash grew up in Old Saybrook, spending many soccer seasons keeping the bench warm for varsity players.

We live together in our Hartsdale apartment in New York. Krish works for the Westchester Library System in outreach and advocacy. Ash is in a Bronx dental residency program. We love game nights, backpacking adventures, snuggling our 17-year-old sphynx cat Yubaba, and keeping our plants alive.

We surprised each other with proposals while on a getaway to Niagara Falls. Krish proposed with Ash's parents' engagement ring after receiving the family's blessing. Ash had a special ring picked out for Krish for over a year. We both stashed our secret rings in socks while we hiked around the falls. We were both very surprised and very excited.

We both attended the University of Connecticut at Storrs as undergrads. As a part of an extracurricular biology group we established a strong friendship long before we started dating. Our first date highlights include finding a Missing "Prince of Darkness" Opossum Poster on the Homer Babbidge Library cork-board while studying for a shared class. Huskies for life!
