Brendan and Kaitlin met in 2018 at Amazon, both starting their careers after college—Brendan a Minnesota native, Kaitlin new to the area. What began as a friendship quickly grew, and by April 2019 they were officially dating. Their first date at a Chainsmokers concert at The Armory marked the start of many adventures together. In 2020, they packed up with their pug Penny and moved to Spokane, WA, navigating a cross-country road trip through nine states and learning how to build a home together. Now back in Minneapolis as first-time homeowners, they’re ready to begin their greatest adventure yet—marriage!
In December 2023, Brendan pulled off the surprise of a lifetime in Banff, Canada. Getting there was an adventure in itself—Kaitlin almost canceled the trip, felt wildly unprepared, and Brendan’s expired passport didn’t exactly help (very on brand for them). Somehow, everything worked out, and they made it to the mountains. On a sparkling Lake Louise, Brendan set up a tripod “for photos” and led Kaitlin to a quiet spot. When he told her he had something for her, Kaitlin blurted out, “No you don’t!”—already catching on. With tears in her eyes, she said yes as Brendan dropped to one knee. The magic continued with a surprise video of messages from family and friends, skating under the winter sky, fondue, and champagne—an unforgettable beginning to forever.
