We met at a potluck, hosted by a mutual friend, and knew there was something worth exploring. We spent the evening talking, laughing, and—of all things—reading the rules to a board game together. It was a random but fun connection, and we found ourselves chatting easily, with a shared excitement about snowboarding the next day. We made plans to meet up on the mountain, but life had other ideas, and we never actually made it to the slopes together. Still, that moment was the beginning of something more. Over the next two years, our connection grew, and what started as a casual friendship blossomed into something much deeper. When our anniversary rolled around, we decided to take a getaway to Government Camp. We spent the day snowboarding at Timberline on Mount Hood, surrounded by stunning views and the thrill of the mountain. After an unforgettable day on the slopes, Chris took Sarah to a scenic overlook, where, with the breathtaking beauty of the mountains around us, he got down on one knee and asked her to spend forever with him. The answer was an immediate "Yes," and that’s when our adventure truly began. The rest, as they say, is history.
