We went here on our first date, and several more after that! Enjoy the pier, grab a drink at Margaritaville, and if you're lucky, you can enjoy the fireworks on the Wednesday night.
Pick Me Up Cafe
We have had many dates here, and always make sure to bring friends and family here when we can! Becca's Recommendation: Cappuccino milkshake paired with french toast at any time of day. Sam's Recommendation: Iced hazelnut oat milk latte paired with the buffalo tofu wrap (with vegan customizations).
Roots Handmade Pizza - South Loop
Make sure to request the rooftop for some beautiful views while eating the best pizza ever! Brides' Recommendation: BBQ Pulled Chicken Pizza (subbed Pork for Chicken).
Wrigley Field
We'll meet you at the ballpark if there's a home Cubs game while you're here! If not, it's still a beautiful area to walk around and grab a drink or two!
Shedd Aquarium
Kids or no kids, the Shedd Aquarium is fun for all! We have enjoyed many dates here over the years.
Peet's Coffee
Grab a coffee or a quick bite to eat at our favorite coffee shop! There are several other locations around the city, too. Brides' Recommendation: Iced sugar free vanilla latte with oat milk paired with an everything plant based breakfast sandwich.
Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams
If you find yourself shopping in and around Wicker Park, make sure to grab a delicious ice cream at Jeni's! There are also other locations around Chicago, too. Becca's Recommendation: Salted Peanut Butter with Chocolate Flecks in a waffle cone. Sam's Recommendation: Cold Brew with Coconut Cream in a cake cone.
Lane (George) Beach Park
Take a trip to the beach where we got engaged! Lane George Beach is a cute, calm, and quiet beach. There is a larger beach, Montrose Beach, right down the road and has a bit more space to enjoy the skyline views and the refreshing Lake Michigan water.
Lincoln Park Zoo
Put on your walking shoes and take a trip to Lincoln Park Zoo to visit with some neat animals and beautiful gardens!
