Yes, the restaurants have different dress codes. The fanciest restaurant (a delicious Italian place) requires men to wear long pants (not jeans), collared shirts, and dress shoes. For women, they can wear dresses or blouses with dress pants/skirts with dress shoes. The other restaurants require bermudas and sneakers/sandals for men. No sleeveless shirts or flip flops for men. Ladies must wear a bathing suit wrap or cover-up. No wet swimsuits. The main restaurant, which is a buffet style, is more relaxed with the dress code, the main thing being no wet swimwear or just a swimsuit. The bars and the rest of the resort don't follow a dress code.
Think Dressy Casual. We want you to be comfortable! All events will be held outside with the reception on the beach (aka sand) and it will be around 75-80 degrees F or 24-26 degrees C. For men, you could wear dress pants or shorts with a dress shirt and dress shoes or boat shoes. Jackets and ties are optional! For women, sun dresses or dress shirts and pants. Feel free to ditch your shoes for the reception or change into flip flops! Look at the "Photos" page to see some outfit inspiration!
No, other than the wedding of course! Since weather, if you do/don't want to pay for extra events, and the events going on at the resort can impact what you want to do, we did not want to create a set itinerary. Our number one rule while on vacation is to relax and have fun! We enjoy being able to do what we want, when we want. We want you to do as much or as little as you want! We will use the facebook group to communicate if we are going to an event or doing something as a group!
1. Restaurants and Bars. Start your morning with a coffee at the Coco Cafe (option to add Bailey's!). Relax on the beach and visit the smoothie bar or grab a snack at the Barefoot Grill. Get a cerveza or dos at the swim-up or beach bar. Grab dinner at one of the restaurants or get room-service delivered. Visit the resort website to see details about the restaurants and bars. 2. Resort Events. The resort has a daily schedule with different events and activities such as live music, fire dancers, themed dinners on the beach, water zumba and more. The resort also arranges for vendors to come to the resort once a week and sell a variety of souvenirs. 3. Water Activities. Right on the beach, there is a building that has different water activities you can do for free including kayaks, sailing, catamarans, etc. There are other activities that you have to pay extra for like going on a snorkeling trip (we recommend this!), going scuba diving, and motorized water sports.
1. Explore Puerto Aventuras. Puerto Aventuras is a gated, private community. We felt extremely safe exploring the town. Less than a 5-minute walk from the resort is a variety of shops and restaurants including a Starbucks, gelato shop, and a karaoke bar. 2. Tours and Excursions. The resort has a Travel Desk with information about a variety of off-resort activities including the ecological park Xel-Ha, exploring the Mayan Ruins at Chichen Itza, going deep sea fishing, or swimming in cenotes. The Travel Desk makes it easy assisting with booking and transportation! 3. Golf. The resort includes complimentary green fees for nearby golf courses and transportation to the courses. There you can rent golf clubs and a cart for about $45 USD (depends on the course). Visit the resort's website to see information about the specific courses! 4. Dolphins and Manatees. Attached to the resort is Dolphin Dreams Dolphinarium. There you can swim and interact with dolphins and/or manatees.
Dream's resorts are 100% all inclusive! You get unlimited meals, snacks, and drinks at all restaurants and bars. There is a mini bar that is stocked daily in your room and there is 24/7 room services. There are water activities, daily events, and shows at the resort that are also included! The only extra costs you'll come across are the extra things you choose to do (such as buying a bottle of wine, swimming with dolphins, or going on a snorkeling trip). The resort states that tipping is not necessary. You of course can if you want!
No reservations needed! You can go to any of the restaurants whenever you want, even if it's multiple times a day :) If you go to a restaurant during peak meal time, there may be a short wait (15 minutes to an hour). So it's a good idea to head down early, check in, then grab a drink or to send someone down early! Due to the restaurants not doing reservations, they are not able to do large groups all at the same table. You will need to check with the restaurants to know the largest group size they can accommodate, we had 7 people when we were there and they were able to do that!
Kourtney is from North Dakota and Eric is from Rhode Island. No matter where we chose to get married, one or both of our families would have to travel. So, why not travel to a place we love and make an amazing vacation out of our wedding?
Yes! You need a passport to travel in and out of Mexico. Please make sure your passport is up-to-date and renewed in advance.

Attending our wedding or sending your love from afar is a gift enough for us. However, we are registered at Target if you are still wanting to send us a gift.
