Please plan to fly into "La Aurora International Airport (GUA)" in Guatemala City. From the airport, you may travel to Antigua Guatemala via Uber or ride-share service, both of which are safe and reliable. Many hotels and Airbnbs also offer shuttle services. Flights to Guatemala

Several airlines offer convenient service from Atlanta (ATL) to Guatemala City (GUA). Delta Airlines, American Airlines, and Spirit Airlines all offer service from Atlanta (ATL) to Guatemala City (GUA). We highly recommend booking your flights as soon as possible, as fares tend to increase closer to the date of travel.

Traveler’s Declaration Form

All travelers entering Guatemala are required to complete the "Traveler’s Declaration Form" before collecting luggage and entering the country at La Aurora International Airport. For your convenience, you may complete the form in advance using the official link below: https://cdn.c.sat.gob.gt/declaDelViajeroGt-web/pages/public/declaracionJuradaDelViajero.html We recommend completing it shortly before your departure to Guatemala and saving a screenshot of your QR code. If completing it at the airport upon arrival, please follow these steps: 1. Scan the QR code on the large banner labeled “DJRV Declaración” at customs. 2. Select Aéreo / By Air. 3. Choose Entrada / Entry (select Salida / Exit when departing Guatemala). 4. Select La Aurora as your point of entry. 5. Choose Passport as your form of identification. 6. Select Turismo / Tourism as the purpose of your visit. 7. Enter Guatemala as your country of destination. 8. Provide your accommodation details (e.g., Hotel Casa Santo Domingo or your Airbnb) as the foreseen address. 9. For carry-on luggage, enter the number of items in the first luggage field. 10. For checked baggage, enter the number of items in the second luggage field. 11. Select Keep at the bottom and screenshot the QR code provided to present for scanning. * Important: This form is required both upon arrival and before departure from Guatemala. Completing the form in advance will help ensure a smooth and efficient airport experience. Please have your QR code ready to present at customs upon arrival and again at departure.

Travel in Antigua Guatemala is generally safe. Taxis, tuk-tuks, and ride-share services such as Uber are widely available and reliable. For your safety, we recommend traveling with a companion, particularly at night, and only using official taxis or ride-share services.
