Antigua Guatemala is very walkable, so a rental car is not necessary for getting around town. Most guests use tuk-tuks, taxis, or Uber, which are budget-friendly, safe, and convenient. However, if you plan to visit destinations outside Antigua—such as Guatemala City, Lake Atitlán, or volcano hikes—we recommend arranging a private driver or organized day tour for comfort and efficiency. Hotel concierges can also assist with transportation, tour bookings, and itineraries.
Guests may arrange transportation independently. Many hotels and Airbnbs provide shuttle services, or you may consider alternatives such as uber or ride-share options. Should you require assistance in arranging travel, please do not hesitate to contact us directly.
The local currency in Guatemala is the Guatemalan Quetzal (GTQ). While credit cards are accepted at most hotels, restaurants, and larger establishments, we recommend carrying quetzales for smaller vendors, gratuities, and local transportation such as tuk-tuks. Currency may be exchanged at the airport, local banks, or authorized exchange offices, and ATMs are widely available throughout Antigua.
In February, temperatures range from 74°F to 82°F; temperatures tend to be cooler in the mornings and evenings.
We kindly ask that guests arrive by 2:30 PM, as the ceremony will begin promptly at 3:00 PM.
This will be a Black Tie wedding. Gentlemen: Tuxedos in black or dark navy are preferred, paired with a formal shirt, bow tie or necktie, and dress shoes. Dark formal suits are acceptable if a tuxedo is not available. Ladies: Floor-length gowns or elegant formal dresses are encouraged. Elevated cocktail-length dresses are also welcome. As portions of our celebration will take place outdoors, we recommend breathable fabrics and comfortable formal footwear. Kindly note: white attire is reserved exclusively for the bride.
The celebration will include both indoor and outdoor settings.
Due to logistical considerations and the variety of accommodations across Antigua, we will not be providing shuttle service. However, taxis, ride-share services such as Uber, and local tuk-tuks are readily available and safe for travel to the wedding venue and back to your hotel or Airbnb. Should you have any questions or require guidance regarding transportation, please do not hesitate to contact us directly.
Your invitation indicates the number of guests included. We kindly ask that the invitation be honored as addressed.
This will be an adults-only celebration, thank you for understanding.
