Nick and I were set up on a blind date by my cousin Courtney. Nick and Courtney shared a mutual friend and they convinced Nick to reach out to me since they knew we’d be such a good match. After a few exchanged messages we decided to meet up and had our first date in Newport, RI at Diego's Restaurant. I knew Nick was a keeper when I proceeded to nervously order a burrito and get it all stuck in my teeth and he continued to talk to me all night like he didn’t notice a thing...(thank god I checked myself in the bathroom after we ate)! After dinner we walked around Newport for hours just talking and then rented a red box and watched it on his tiny little laptop with barely any furniture in his apartment (this is when he knew I was a keeper)! Eight years, one Australian Shepherd, and three states later we are so excited to be starting this next chapter of life! Newport is where our story began and will now become an even more special place to us when we tie the knot there this year!
The health and safety of all of you is so important to us which is why we have decided to postpone our wedding to 12/17/2021. We can’t wait to celebrate with all of you then! In the meantime we have decided to legally get married this year in an intimate ceremony. After eight years together we are ready to officially start our marriage. We are looking forward to continuing the party with all of you next year in Rhode Island and we thank you for your patience with us during these changing times. Stay safe and see you next year! Love, Kory & Nick
