Where We Say “I Do”

Seeding Galveston

*************

Seeding Galveston is a nonprofit urban farm that grows fresh produce, teaches gardening, creates educational programs, and partners with schools, churches, and local organizations across Galveston. It isn’t a typical wedding venue (at least not yet!). We’ll be just the second wedding held here, though there are plans to welcome more celebrations as this beautiful farm grows. It’s a place full of love, good food, community, and learning, and we are so proud to celebrate our marriage here. For me (Emily), this story began a decade ago when I tended a small plot at Deborah’s Garden, a community garden that later grew into Seeding Galveston. I volunteered here during college, and the farm became a place of connection and inspiration. The people and the vision have stayed with me ever since, and it means so much to return here for such a special day. Kory instantly fell in love with the beauty of the place too. Since then, its inspiration has carried into our lives as we cultivate our own urban homestead with fruit trees, chickens, and a vegetable garden. We owe a very special thank you to John Sessions and Debbie Berger, who dreamed up, built, and nurtured this incredible place, who have been kind friends for the last decade, and who are graciously hosting us for our wedding.
