WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!

We met at Love Park Flats, a tiny apartment complex in the Houston Heights that felt more like a quirky little commune than anything else. Everyone knew everyone, including our dogs (Lennon and Charlie) who made sure the whole building knew whenever one of us left. Honestly, we weren’t sure we liked each other at first, mostly because we couldn’t believe how loud the other’s dog could be. But those noisy goodbyes turned into puppy playdates, then into chats, and eventually into something much more. After dating for a year the pandemic hit, and suddenly we were each other’s only company for months. That time together, quiet, weird, and kind of wonderful, showed us how well we fit. Since then, we’ve moved a few times, added a small herd of critters to our lives (including chickens and our basset hound, Gus), and traveled together, always complementing each other in the best ways. Live music has been a constant for us. Our first real outing was a Rainbow Kitten Surprise show, and we’ve been chasing concerts and festivals ever since. One of the reasons we picked our current place is because it’s walking distance to White Oak Music Hall, one of our favorite venues. For the wedding, we’re putting together a playlist of songs that have soundtracked our story, some loud, some soft, all meaningful. Through all the moves, road trips, late-night shows, quiet evenings, and general chaos with our animals, we’ve built a life that’s full of laughter, love, and a little bit of beautiful mess. We’re so excited to celebrate this next chapter with the people who’ve been part of it all.
