JAX - Jacksonville International Airport JAX is ~1 hour drive to St Augustine. If you plan to go directly to St Augustine upon your arrival and leave directly from St Augustine this would be your closest airport option. JAX is ~2.5 hour drive from the Cocoa Beach & Melbourne, FL areas. If you plan to visit Cocoa Beach, Melbourne or Orlando before or after the wedding, we would recommend flying in or out of MCO depending on your timeline. In other words, if heading to St Augustine upon arrival fly into JAX, but visiting Disney after the wedding fly back home out of MCO to save yourself a drive. A link to JAX website can be found on our Travel page.
MCO - Orlando International Airport MCO would be the closest airport to us in Cocoa Beach if you plan on coming in early/staying after the wedding to visit. MCO is ~2 hour drive to St Augustine if you plan on going straight there. St Augustine is also ~2 hour drive from Cocoa Beach & Melbourne, FL as well. If you plan to visit Cocoa Beach, Melbourne or Orlando before or after the wedding, we would recommend flying in or out of MCO/JAX depending on your timeline. In other words, if heading to St Augustine upon arrival fly into JAX, but visiting Disney after the wedding fly back home out of MCO to save yourself a drive - or vice versa. A link to MCO’s website can be found on our Travel page.

You most definitely should stop at Buc-cee’s in Daytona! The Disney World of gas stations features 104 fueling stations, 55,000 square feet of shopping, and 70 flavors of fountain drinks. Allyson and I went to their Daytona Beach location and were simply blown away by the bbq sandwiches and beef jerky selection.
St. Augustine was founded as a result of the Spanish Crown’s orders to have a French Huguenot fort near what is now Jacksonville destroyed in 1565. The Spanish settled in what is now St. Augustine to establish a position and proceeded to massacre the French overwhelmingly. These historical events are the basis for the events in the film The Cider House Rules (1999).
