The Wedding Website of Madison Kontio and Joshua Hill
The gang's all here... For better or for worse, this is the crew we're walking down the aisle with!

Madison Kontio

Bride

Madison grew up (and still lives) in Holland, MI with her parents, two siblings, and plethora of animals. She got her bachelors at CMU and masters in speech language pathology at WMU. She now works as an SLP for Michigan Virtual Charter Academy (yes, online school from the comfort of her bedroom). She is kept company by her fur baby Dusty Rose, who is regretfully barred from attending the wedding. In her spare time this bride loves sewing, drawing, baking, watching Netflix, and obsessing over most things Disney... and she absolutely can’t wait to be able to travel internationally and use school vacations for actual vacations and gym sessions with her husband-to-be!

Joshua Hill

Groom

Joshua spent the majority of his childhood in South Haven, where he was within a 1/2 mile walk from nearly his entire family and just a 10 minute drive to the lake. After High School Josh began working construction full time for his grandfather. A couple years later found Josh enlisting into the Marine Corps, where he has worked for the past 5 years. In his down time Josh enjoys binge watching Netflix, collecting bourbon, eating way too much food, and torturing Madison with the idea of bushcraft camping in the middle of nowhere.

Anja Goolsby

Matron of Honor

Anja and Madison go all the way back to 1st grade when Madison was deemed "too smart" for Kindergarten (whatever that means...) and transitioned into Anja's 1st grade reading group. Since then Anja has been one of Madison's closest friends through thick and thin, from building fairy houses down near Anja's creek, falling through the ice of said creek, to staying in touch after Anja's move across the pond and back, and finally reconnecting during their last few years at Central Michigan University. Madison was honored to be by Anja's side during her wedding and it's only fitting that they trade roles a year later.

Bobby Leek

Best Man

Bobby and Josh go all the way back to 1775, when Bobby was deemed “more smart” than E-4 (whatever that means...) and transitioned to Joshy’s boss man. Since then Bobby has been one of Joshua’s bestest friends- through thick and thin, through heat and cold, dropping from 2 balls to 1, & ditching classes to deliver Taco Bell 300 miles away. Today, despite the distance, Bobby and Josh stay in touch via dank memes and cringy poolee posts. Given this, it was only fitting that Bobby became Josh’s best man. Because Bobby’s the best.

Teghan Oswald

Bridesmaid

Teghan and Madison lived across the hall during their freshman year at CMU, bonding over having to survive the awful cliquishness of their terror-roommates and a shared love for travel and good food. Life got immensely easier when they became roommates the following year... up until Teghan left her for a semester in Argentina and Madison had to cut costs and live with her grandparents. Since then Teghan moved to Ireland, got engaged, and is now working for her university as a research assistant! They always pick up right where they left off... usually sending animal-related Snapchats to one another at odd hours; but of course unconventional friendships are always the strongest.

Jimmy Guzman

Groomsman

From the friendly adventures of Josh and Friends we introduce you to the side story of Josh and Jimmy. Jimmy was a guy living in Camp Lejeune, NC going to work, playing video games and telling corny jokes like What is a pirate’s favorite letter?.. You’d think it be the RRR but it be the C. One fateful day Josh comes crashing in and turns Jimmy’s world upside down. They worked together, played video games, survived questionable escape rooms, journeyed to other cities, and canoed rough waters to have a beach party. Through these times Jimmy learned how kind Josh is. He learned that being Josh’s friend means you will always have him there to support you and do creative things, and that his jokes weren’t that funny. Jimmy... One of the first to hear “Dude, I think she’s the one.”

Emily Greenberg

Bridesmaid

Coffee, waffles, and piles upon piles of work... this essentially comprised Madison and Emily’s relationship as they struggled through WMU’s SLP graduate program together. Aside from crying into textbooks, they bonded over hot air balloon festivals, Art Prize, a sporadic trip to the UP, and lots and LOTS of cupcakes. Hands down one of the sweetest human beings you will ever encounter in your entire life. Impossible to pass up when it came to picking bridesmaids!

Edward Young

Groomsman

What’s better than starting lightsaber battles in Wal-Mart and terrorizing the general population with the most outrageous shenanigans known to mankind? That's right...ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IS BETTER(except for tacos, tacos always win). This was only the beginning of Ed and Josh's friendship. These two weirdos reigned as kings of Pensacola in their own respect. Ed and Josh spread their reign of terror, much like Genghis Khan, to the west! San Angelo didn’t know what hit them when Hurricane Jed came rolling through, immersing them in the air of random noises and intense pranks hurled with the fury of 150mph winds overflowing with lightning! Despite going separate ways to different duty stations, these two forever conspire to bring the world to heel with the next wave of Jedness.

Mackenzie Kontio

Bridesmaid

Sister of the bride, for better or for worse! Born 6 years apart means lots of differences between the Kontio sisters. A few things she have in common: ice cream, Disney, cartoons, makeup, & animals.

Robert Herbert

Groomsman

Kayla Morrison

Ring Bearer

Josh’s oldest niece who made a point of asking Madison about 6 months into their relationship when Madison would become her aunt!!

Zoey Morrison

Flower Girl

Joshua's middle niece... blonde, beautiful, and the right amount of sass to fill the dress!
