The Island of Hawai'i is known for its volcanoes, black sand beaches, rich history, cultural sites, and coffee. The west side of the island is drier, and the east is more rainy and tropical. There are two major cities Kona (west) and Hilo (east). We picked it for the volcanoes, the manta rays, the hiking, and the peacefulness. Please see this FAQ about visiting the island, and for more travel tips from the experts: https://www.gohawaii.com/islands/hawaii-big-island/travel-info/faq If you'd like to learn more about Kona and the Big Island's history and sites to visit: https://www.gohawaii.com/islands/hawaii-big-island/regions/kona https://ponopledge.com/
3:45!
Given the time change, we'd recommend arriving at least a couple days early. It's entirely up to you though how long you'd like your vacay! We will be flying in Wednesday October 22 and staying in Kona until Tuesday October 28. There will be a couple of planned, optional, group activities, like snorkeling, if you are interested in staying the weekend after the ceremony.
Probably KOA. There are two airports on Hawaii, Kona (KOA), and Hilo (ITO). KOA is closest to the wedding. ITO is on the east side of the island, and around a 2 hour drive to Kona.
Your presence is more than enough, please no gifts!
