Traveling to Ghana
U.S. passport holders will need a visa to travel to Ghana. We recommend applying for your visa by the end of October to leave adequate time to receive it. You will have to mail your passport to the Ghana embassy with the appropriate application, supporting materials, and fee. See the Ghana Embassy website for more information on obtaining a travel visa: https://ghanaembassydc.org/visa/ You will also need a Yellow Fever vaccine at least 10 days prior to your date of travel, in addition to malaria prevention medication. Consult a travel clinic or your local pharmacy to obtain the vaccine and malaria prevention medication.
