Maryssa is my Maid of Honor and, without a doubt, the backbone I needed for this role. While our friendship grew later in life, it quickly became one of the most meaningful relationships in my life. After deciding to become roommates in 2020, we formed a bond that has only grown stronger with each passing year. What's funny is that Maryssa has been preparing for this role long before either of us knew it. She was part of my quinceañera and was already acting like a Maid of Honor then—holding my phone, answering questions, and making sure everything ran smoothly so I could enjoy the day. Some things never change. Our sons, born just three months apart, have grown up together and are more like brothers than friends. Through every milestone, challenge, and celebration, Maryssa has been a constant source of support, encouragement, and laughter. Even though I moved away from the Valley, distance has never changed the important place she holds in my life. Most recently, she received a well-deserved promotion to Godmother of baby Audrey—a role that perfectly reflects the love, care, and dedication she shows to the people she loves. I am so grateful to have her standing beside me on my wedding day, just as she has stood beside me through so many important moments in my life. 🤍
