How did Kody and Alexis meet?

In 2022, a mutual friend invited Alexis to help play in a co-ed slow-pitch softball tournament in Corpus Christi. It didn't take long for Alexis to notice Kody—his smile, his personality, and the way he stood out from everyone else caught her attention immediately. Never one to miss an opportunity, Alexis made her first move by asking to borrow Kody's sunglasses because she was playing in the outfield and the sun was in her eyes. While Kody may have thought it was an innocent request, Alexis knew exactly what she was doing. After the tournament, the team headed to Bubba's for dinner, where Alexis spent the evening trying to convince everyone—especially Kody—to join her for Taco Tuesday at the bar where she worked. On the drive home, she sent Kody a text telling him to drive safely, another subtle hint that she was interested. A few days later, Alexis reached out again and invited Kody to Taco Tuesday. His response? He couldn't afford to go out that night. Determined not to let the opportunity slip away, Alexis offered to pay for him. Kody agreed, and the two spent the evening together.
