Question

I have COVID-19 concerns...

Answer

We know the virus isn't going anywhere! We will be addressing the sanitation and social distancing concerns which will include hand sanitizer, providing masks, spreading out chairs and tables, and outdoor seating options. We completely understand if you cannot attend do to yours, or your family's, health. If you cannot risk it, don't! Just RSVP no and we will understand. We are working on live streaming the ceremony. We have regretfully reduced our guest list to meet local 1/2 capacity requirements. Please remain patient with us and know that there is a lot of unknown. We will keep you all informed best we can and please check back on our website covid-19 page for any announcements. When it comes closer to the wedding date we kindly ask that you practice the social distancing recommendations at least 14 days and if you feel bad or have any symptoms, please do not come. We would like guests to get a rapid covid test and temperature check prior to the event. Thank you for understanding!

Question

How will I access the live stream of the ceremony?

Answer

So we are looking into having our ceremony live streamed via Facebook Live or Zoom. You do not need to have an account to access the stream, you will only need the link that will be provided a few days prior to the event. The link will be posted under the "COVID-19" tab here on the website along with further instructions. The stream should be live 10-15 minutes prior to the ceremony start time which is 4:00pm CST on December 5th. Only the ceremony will be live streamed. More details will be shared closer to the event.

Question

I RSVP'd "attending" but changed my mind...

Answer

We understand that due to COVID there are many uncertainties and this includes unpredictable and sometimes last minute changes. We promise that we are understanding of this and ask that you change your RSVP as soon as possible! Due to capacity concerns and catering requirements, we ask that any adjustments to your RSVP status be updated two weeks prior to the event. If you are on the fence and are unsure if you or your family can attend it is easiest if you decline the invitation. We love all our guests and understand that the situation we are in is very unique and wont have any hard feelings. Please let the Bride, Groom, or family know about this change ASAP!

Question

What is for dinner?

Answer

There will be an appetizer of chips and different salsas, the bride's favorite snack! Dinner will be a plated meal of Cornbread Stuffed Chicken with Rosemary Garlic Sauce, Gouda Mashed Potatoes, Haricot Vert with Onion and Bacon, & Homemade Yeast Roll. There will be a child's option of Chicken Strips & Macaroni and Cheese as well as a vegetarian version of our main dish. We will have a late night snack of a soft warm pretzels with dipping sauces, the groom's favorite snack! Drinks such as water, tea, and coffee will be provided. Please do us a favor and select your dinner preference on your RSVP!

Question

Who should I contact the day of the wedding for assistance?

Answer

We ask that you please try your best to NOT contact the groom or the bride the day of the wedding. If you are in need of assistance or directions please reach out to the bride and grooms family or bridal party members. Wedding Coordinator Gloria: 916-532-5282 Bride's Mother Debra: 832-202-8687 Bride's Father Mike: 281-450-8054 Bride's Maid of Honor Emily: 979-319-6081

Question

I am running late to the ceremony, what should I do?

Answer

Breathe. Life happens and please take your time and be safe arriving. If you are a few moments late and the ceremony has not started please quickly and quietly come down by the river and grab a seat. If the ceremony has started we ask that you quietly join us and sit at the back of the ceremony seating. Our coordinator Gloria will be ready to assist you. If you are very late and feel you will miss the ceremony, just join us at 6:00pm for dinner. Seating for dinner will start around 5:00pm. Thank you for understanding.

Question

What should I use for transportation to and from the wedding?

Answer

If you do not want to drive, there is Uber, Lyft, cab companies in the area! We recommend also contacting your hotel to see if they offer any additional transportation services.

Question

Will there be free parking at the wedding?

Answer

Yes! There is a big open parking lot right across Oasis St. from our venue for wedding parking.

Question

How do I get to the River Venue from the parking lot?

Answer

Once parked, you will see Milltown's New Orleans themed venue, The Grande, immediately. You will pass that to get to our venue near the river. There will be an open gate for guests to pass through, and a golf cart for those who cannot walk further distances or at an incline. You will then walk down a number of stairs to get down near the river where the ceremony takes place.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yup! We will have beer, liquor, and wine available complementary during the wedding. Just don't forget to tip the bartender! ID's are required.

Question

Is the wedding and reception at the same location?

Answer

Yes! The ceremony will take place (weather permitting) down in the grassy area by the Guadalupe River. After, the reception will take place just up stairs to our venue indoors.

Question

How should I dress?

Answer

Please dress for the right weather conditions! It will be cool during the day and cold that night, so dress warm. The recommended attire is suits, dresses, nice tops, sweaters, and jeans or dress pants, cocktail attire, or wear a tux or gown, we don't mind! It is really your preference.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Yes & No.... Most guests will have a plus one spot on their wedding invitation or enough seats set aside for their entire party. Those are the only seats you have for your party or family. We ask that no additional guests or seats/meals be added to your given amount. If you really need space for a plus one or more room for your family, please get in touch with the Bride and Groom first to ensure we have space, especially due to Covid mandates. If you bring an unintended guest, which is quite disrespectful, they will be asked to leave, as there will be no seat or meal for them. We also do have a maximum capacity limit that we will need to follow closely. We apologize if that is an inconvenience.

Question

Are kids allowed?

Answer

This is another yes and no... Yes children will be in attendance however, we are trying to limit the amount of children at the reception. Most of the children will be family or part of the bridal party. If you need to bring your child(ren) and seats have not been given to you for kids, please talk to the Bride and Groom about it, again due to Covid mandates. If room, we will happily allow your child(ren) to join. BUT this depends on available seating and our guest max. Please do not just assume your child can join and touch base with the Bride and Groom to double check before bringing them! Thank you in advance and sorry for any inconvenience.

Question

What if I have trouble with walking at an incline or with stairs?

Answer

If you have any mobility concerns or trouble walking up and down stairs, or even just further distances, there will be a golf cart, provided by the venue, that will take guests down to the ceremony space and up to the reception venue. There is a little walk from the parking lot and a number of stairs from the ceremony to the reception to be aware of.

Question

What if I have a nut allergy?

Answer

All food items at the wedding should be nut free. Please always proceed with caution!
