Maid of Honor
Kristin met Lauren in college because they joined the same Life Group at church (circa 2014). They hit it off and have been inseparable ever since. Some of our favorite memories together include co-leading a Life Group together, road tripping to California and the Grand Canyon, visiting each other in Raleigh and Oregon, just generally going through life together, and when Lauren surprised Kristin at dinner the day of her engagement! Lauren is someone who will always pick up the phone when you need her to, ask the best questions that push you to grow as a person, and always bring the laughter to a group!
Maid of Honor
Kristin met Kelcy in graduate school because they joined the same Life Group at church (circa 2016). We went to get ice cream together once, and we've been besties ever since. Some of our favorite memories together include road tripping to California and the Grand Canyon, when Kelcy drove with Kristin to move her to Raleigh, NC, spontaneously attending a Walk the Moon concert, dancing at Cornerstone, and when Kelcy surprised Kristin at dinner the day of her engagement! Kelcy is someone who will always get a plane ticket to celebrate your biggest life events, create the best Spotify playlist, and provide the best emotional support, even from thousands of miles away.
Bridesmaid
Kristin met Bri in graduate school as they were both studying Higher Education Administration at Baylor (circa 2016). We had a graduate student social where they got talking about their favorite TV show, Big Brother. Then we got coffee at Common Grounds where we proceeded to talk for 2 hours...and the rest is history! Some of our favorite memories include introducing Bri to Dunkin', going to Bri's hometown in Ohio and spending time with her family, visiting Bri in California, and catching up via FaceTime for 2+ hours every few months.

Kristin met Hayley when she first started dating her brother James in high school (circa 2008). We got to know each other better as Hayley joined the Kochs on our Cape Cod vacations, and who knew that 10 years later James would propose and make us sisters! Some of our favorite memories together include visiting each other in D.C./Boston or Raleigh, Christmas parties with our families, and when Hayley and James asked Kristin to be their daughter, Audrey's, godmother!
Bridesmaid
Kristin met Virginia when our families started attending the Church of Nativity in Northborough, MA (circa 1997). Virginia was actually one of Kristin's babysitters growing up, but quickly became a sister and friend to Kristin after 10 years of going to Cape Cod together with our families and both living in NC. Some of our favorite memories together include tubing together on the Cape, working out at Bodymass Gym, spending a weekend in Sevierville, TN, and spending time together with Virginia's kids in Durham, NC.

Kristin met Amelia after she started dating her brother, Colin (circa 2020). They hit it off at her brother, Garland's, wedding because they both love to plan an event/celebration! Amelia even decorating our entire engagement party! Some of our favorite memories together are visiting each other in Winston-Salem and Raleigh, spending time together in OBX this summer, playing games at the Beamer mountain house, and wedding dress shopping together in July!

Kristin met Stephanie actually on Stephanie's wedding day in the mountains of NC where she married Colin's brother, Garland (circa 2020). Kristin got to know her throughout the wedding weekend, and they bonded over their love of tequila! Some of our favorite memories together are dancing the night away at Garland and Stephanie's wedding, eating the best waffles at a Lexington coffee shop, and having lots of tequila together at the surprise engagement party!
Best Man
Born in 1993, Garland Charles Beamer is Colin’s older brother and the middle child of three. For the last 31 years, Garland has been teaching, tormenting, and making Colin laugh till he cries. Garland lives and works with his wife Stephanie Sanchez in Lexington, North Carolina, where both work in the Lexington City Schools system educating the youth of our state. Colin’s favorite memories with Garland include learning to SCUBA dive together, playing with fireworks in the summertime, and living in his shadow in middle and high school as “Young Beam”, Garland’s younger brother.
Groomsman
Paul Nolan is from Greensboro, North Carolina and lives in Boston, Massachusetts where he works for AmeriCorps. Colin and Paul met in college at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, and have been best friends ever since. Some of Colin’s favorite memories with Paul include traveling to visit him in Norway in early 2020, leading in Student Government at NC State, meeting Michelle Obama in 2016, and throwing wild parties at our house on Vanderbilt Avenue.
Groomsman
Samuel Sharpe is Colin’s longest best friend in this world. When Sam and Colin were very young, the Sharpe family moved next door to the Beamers on Hillcrest Drive in Lexington, and the rest is history. Some of Colin’s favorite memories with Sam include Star Wars battles with the latest lightsabers, running around the neighborhood during snowstorms, countless trips, sleepovers, and GameCube sessions, sharing our love of music, and a sense of humor that transcends nearly all other things—sourced primarily from Spongebob Squarepants, Saturday Night Live, and an outrageous amount of Family Guy.

Tykori Saunders was born in High Point and raised in the Greensboro, North Carolina area. Colin first met Tykori while pledging Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity at NC State University in 2015. Some of Colin’s favorite memories with Tykori include the many years being roommates throughout the Raleigh area, more trips, late nights, laughs, and projects we’ve done together, and Tykori’s aptitude for bringing people together for connection.

Brandon Burns was born and raised in and around the Raleigh area of North Carolina. Colin first met Brandon while pledging Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity at NC State University in 2015, where Brandon awarded Colin’s membership to the organization. Some of Colin’s favorite memories with Brandon include the many, many nights hanging out at his Enterprise Drive house during college, attending his medical school orientation with Tykori Saunders as his proxy parents, traveling to countless destinations here and abroad, and connecting over love of all things Italy.

Amar Hodzic was born in Bosnia and he and his family immigrated to the United States in the mid-1990s to Charlotte, North Carolina. Colin first met Amar in college while pledging Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity at NC State University in 2015. Some of Colin’s favorite memories with Amar include trips to the mountains, late nights in college in deep discussion about solving the world’s problems and politics, and traveling in Europe together more than once, including Amar and his wife Tabbi’s wedding in Croatia in 2023.
Groomsman
James Koch is Kristin’s older brother and lives with his wife Hayley and daughter Audrey in Hopkinton, Massachusetts. Colin first met James and his wife Hayley in the Outer Banks of North Carolina in the summer of 2020. Since then, James’ kindness, thoughtfulness, wit, and humor have made Colin feel welcome to the family. Colin’s favorite memories with James include golf and beach time at the Outer Banks, visiting Massachusetts during holidays and events, and meeting James and Hayley’s first child Audrey Koch in the fall of 2022.
Usher
Anna is Colin's first-cousin, though much more like a younger sister to him. From weekends at Nana and Papa's house, to trips to Honduras, family vacations at Myrtle Beach, and Thanksgiving, Anna has always been close to the Beamer siblings. Anna grew up in Advance, NC, and now lives in Charlotte. Some of Kristin and Colin's favorite memories with Anna include sibling trips to the Beamer mountain house, taking Jell-O shots at Nana's house, and spending time on Lake Norman with the Berrier family.
Usher
Kris is Virginia's husband and is basically a brother to Kristin. When he started dating Virginia, he quickly became part of the Koch family. He and Virginia asked Kristin to officiate their wedding in 2017, and we've enjoyed living close to the Petersen's when they moved to NC. Kristin even babysat their eldest daughter, Charlie, as Kris took Virginia to the hospital to give birth to their second daughter, Nikki. Some of our favorite memories with Kris include our mountain weekend in TN, visiting them in D.C., going to family weddings, and spending time together with their kids.
Flower Girl
Audrey is the sweet daughter of James and Hayley and our niece! She is independent, smart, fun, and adventurous! Some of our favorite memories with Audrey include meeting her for the first time in 2022, customizing her Cozy Coupe for her first Christmas, going to her baptism, and babysitting her in D.C. while her parents enjoyed a friend's wedding weekend! We absolutely adore Audrey & can't wait for her to be our flower girl!
