November 2021: We matched on Facebook Dating. Marie sent the first message, and Sean thought her profile was a bot she was so great. Marie couldn't believe how perfect Sean seemed for her. We quickly clicked in person, and were talking daily from the get-go. December 2021: After lots of Christmas light dates around the Bay Area, we went on our first trip together- NYE in Sacramento! January 29, 2022: After Marie made Sean hike eight miles in snow around the valley floor of Yosemite, Sean officially asks her to be his girlfriend. The rest of 2022 passes, with all sorts of great camping trips, surviving living out of a car together for a week long roadtrip, a Hawaiian vacation, and celebrating NYE in Sacramento once again. May 2023: We move in together. The rest of 2023 & 2024: The good times continue! We loved building a home together, planting a garden, tackling holiday displays, and still going on lots of adventures. December 26, 2024: Sean proposes to Marie on the walk back to the Ahwahnee from Mirror Lake (but not before making sure the path was clear of mud so he could get on one knee.)
