Wedding Party

Sierra Rodriguez

Bride

Welcome to our wedding site! I’m Sierra, and I honestly still pinch myself that I get to marry my best friend. To me, Jake is home. He’s the person who makes every path feel like the right one, and his love for the simple things in life is exactly what made me fall for him. I’m so excited for our future together and to celebrate our love surrounded by nature and our favorite people. We can’t wait to share a drink and a dance with all of you!

Jacob Knaub

Groom

Hi everyone! I’m Jake, and I’m so excited to be marrying the love of my life, Sierra. When I’m not working as a taxidermist, I love to spend time in the woods hunting or hiking with my dog. I remember how much my heart was pumping when I asked my best friend (Sierra) to marry me. She’s got a bigger heart than her little body can handle and I can’t wait to spend forever with her. We are so ready to celebrate with all of you!

Juniper

Flower Girl

Hi I’m Juniper! I love the bride and groom because they give me treats and let me play with sticks all the time. Keep an eye out for me when I walk down the aisle with my fanciest collar. I hope the bride and the groom get more pets after they’re mairried so Trip and I have more friends to play with!

Danny Knaub

Best Man

My relationship with the groom started EARLY, and I mean EARLY. Although I don’t remember sharing the womb I know we were definitely both there. What happened after we left the womb is also far more important. I have known Jake for every day of his existence. Most of our childhood was spent together doing anything from watching SpongeBob to working on the farm together. We’ve shared countless memories and spent each and every day making new ones. Although we have moved apart we still spend lots of time together. Hunting together on weekends, drinking together on the boat, or just hanging out are always good fun. I’m excited to see what the future holds for both Jake and Sierra and couldn’t be prouder to be your best man.

Kayla Will

Bridesmaid

Sierra is my younger sister and my built-in best friend. We’ve been through everything together, from matching outfits to adulting. One of my favorite and most beautiful memories was watching her meet her first nephew. Two very important people in my life were meeting for the first time. One thing about Sierra is that she puts her whole heart into everything and everyone. I am so grateful that she and Jake were able to cross paths and turn that moment into something special. They were made for each other. Every time I see them together, I see them fall in love even more. If there is one piece of advice I could give them, it’s to keep that spark. Keep going on adventures and dates. Always make time for each other. Although I know my sister, she will make sure the adventures never stop. I couldn’t be happier that they found their permanent adventure partner. I can’t wait to watch them unfold their love story.

Groomsman

As Jacob's older brother, I first met him on the day he was born, April 9, 2002. In 10 years, I believe he and Sierra will be living in a nice home with multiple pets. A fun fact about the groom -- Jake and I were co-workers at the local Tractor Supply in 2020 when he won Employee of the Month.

Candra Rodriguez

Bridesmaid

Hi, I’m Candra — the bride’s big sister. I’ve had the privilege of watching her grow from the little girl following me around everywhere into the incredible woman she is today. Getting to stand beside her during this chapter of her life means more to me than I could ever put into words. One thing everyone should know about Sierra is that she loves deeply. She has always had a huge heart, and that’s one of the many reasons people are naturally drawn to her. Some of my favorite memories with her are the simple ones — laughing until we cried, late-night talks, and all the little moments growing up that turned into lifelong memories. Sierra and Jake bring out the best in one another while still making room for each other to fully be themselves, and that kind of love is rare. Life moves fast, but the small acts of love, patience, laughter, and understanding are what build a strong marriage. Hold onto those things and never lose sight of why you fell in love in the first place.

I first met Jake during COVID at West Virginia University. I did not actually see his full face until I ran into him later at the interview for the fraternity, AGR. I remember being a little frustrated with him because he showed up to about 1 out of every 5 classes, while I was there every single day, and he still managed to score better than me almost every time. One fact about the groom that I probably know better than most is that Jake is an incredibly talented party planner and extremely creative. Another not so secret fact is his love for Chevy Cobalts. I have never seen someone so passionate about such a niche car, but I truly respect the dedication to what he considers a beautiful American made classic. In 10 years, I can absolutely see Jake and Sierra with 3 kids and probably 10 animals. I would not be surprised at all if one of those animals is an owl. I could also see Jake running his own taxidermy business. It feels like a new adventure for him, and he genuinely seems to enjoy it.

Sierra and I met a little later in college, but somehow it instantly felt like we had known each other forever. My favorite memory with Sierra is when we were painting the AGR rodeo banner together. We spent the whole time painting, laughing, joking, and absolutely giggling our heads off. At one point we even joked about being in each other’s weddings one day… and well, look at us now! That moment just perfectly captures Sierra, she has this way of making you feel comfortable, seen, and like you’ve been friends for a lifetime. Sierra and Jake just click. You know those couples where nothing feels forced and everything just flows? That’s them. They balance each other in the best way, like they somehow understand each other’s rhythm. Never stop choosing fun together! If you keep choosing each other and keep choosing joy, you’ll always find your way back to that “we just click” feeling.

I’ve been lucky enough to call Sierra one of the my best friends since college. We met in Morgantown, and we’ve gotten along really well ever since! Being snowed in at the cabin during spring break is one of my favorite memories with Sierra. That unexpected extra day of being “trapped” was actually the best kind of luck. From our trip to the beach, our hiking spots and endless late nights- Every moment is memorable! When you see them together, all you can think about is how happy they are together. How they radiate with joy when they’re together. They’re best friends in every life!

Parents of the Groom

We are so proud of the kind and dedicated man Jacob’s become. Jacob treats everyone he meets with genuine warmth, and because of that, he's built lifelong friendships across every stage of his life. Jacob’s passion and commitment have always been defining parts of who he is. What fills us with the greatest pride is the value Jacob places on family and the partnership in life he's building with Sierra. Jacob’s kindness, dedication, and passion shine through with her, and it's clear how deeply he cares. For Sierra, coming into a family full of boys was no easy task-and definitely not for the faint of heart. But Sierra won them over in no time. It was obvious from the start how deeply she and Jacob care for each other, and watching their connection grow has been such a joy. We are thrilled to finally welcome a little femininity into the house. Sierra is grounded, family-oriented, easygoing, and —most impressively— she has survived Knaub family vacations with a smile. We truly couldn't be happier to welcome her into our family. Our advice to both of you: marriages move through many seasons, each with its own challenges and joys. Through every stage, make space to share your feelings, your hopes, and your dreams. Be each other's loudest cheerleaders and a shoulder to cry on. Let the small things roll off your shoulders, and never underestimate the power of laughter —real, deep, can't-catch-your-breath belly laughs. They'll carry you through more than you can imagine.

Angela Smith

Mother of the Bride

The love that Sierra and Jake is a rare kind of love. They are accepting of each other in every way. They are each others best friend and companion. Their love reminds me of "old love", the kind my parents and grandparents have. May your love grow stronger with each passing day and your journey be filled with laughs and memories.

Steve Rodriguez

Father of the Bride

I am so proud of the young lady Sierra has become and all of the accomplishments she has achieved. Aim for the moon and the worst that can happen is that you'll be a star! Jake is a very kind and thoughtful young man who makes my daughter happy. There is not much more a father could ask for in a son in law!
