Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Grace Burgin and Christopher Knab
Welcome to Louisville! If you have any extra time during your trip, we recommend exploring our city! Even through we are both transplants, Louisville is a special place we love to call home. Here are some of our favorite spots around the city.
East Market District (NuLu)

East Market District (NuLu)

742 E Market St, Louisville, KY 40202

Our hotel blocks are both in the exciting NuLu neighborhood. If you're staying with us, we highly recommending checking it out. There are independent shops, bars, and restaurants on every block. Grace's favorite spots are Revelry Boutique, Louisville Cream, and Cultured - Cheese and Charcuterie Bar. Chris's favorite spots are La Bodeguita De Mima, Feast BBQ, and Please & Thank You Coffee.

Waterfront Park & The Big Four Bridge

Waterfront Park & The Big Four Bridge

129 River Road, Louisville, KY 40202

The park and its walking paths are a great way to see downtown Louisville and enjoy the views of the Ohio River. We particularly enjoy exploring the park by scooter - and would recommend! If you need to get your steps in, you can walk all the way across the bridge to cozy downtown Jeffersonville, Indiana.

Bourbon Trail

Bourbon Trail

The Kentucky Bourbon Trail runs right through downtown Louisville! If you're a bourbon fan or just curious about bourbon culture (which is a very real thing in KY), we would recommend visiting a distillery. Almost all of them offer tours and tastings. But book early, they can sell out. Some of our favorite tours are Peerless, Angel's Envy, and the Evan Williams Experience.

Churchill Downs and the Kentucky Derby Museum

Churchill Downs and the Kentucky Derby Museum

700 Central Avenue, Louisville, KY 40208

The Kentucky Derby is the biggest day of the year in Louisville - we even have a whole season for it! Churchill Downs and its icon Twin Spires are right down the road from the hotel block (about a 10 minute drive). The Kentucky Derby Museum shares the property and offers exhibits about the history of racing in Louisville (including the fashion) and tours of the track daily.
