How will the shuttles work?
Answer
The shuttle will be making continuous runs from the Tempo Hotel to the ceremony venue from 4:00 - 4:30. Meet at the front of the Tempo Hotel to board the shuttle. The shuttle will not be stopping at the Home2Suites, guests staying there should meet at the Tempo. The venue is about a 10-15 minute drive. We recommend boarding the shuttle before 4:30 to allow yourself time to arrive and find a seat before the ceremony begins. The shuttle will be at the venue until the end of the night to take guests back to the Tempo.

What should I wear to the wedding?
Answer
We're asking guests to dress in Cocktail attire for the ceremony and reception. A suit or a dress shirt with a tie is suggested. A midi- or knee-length dress or dressy separates are also welcome.

Is the wedding indoors?
Answer
Weather permitting, the ceremony will be held outside on the Water Tower's courtyard. The reception and cocktail hour will be held inside the main building. There is an outdoor patio that will be open so guests can enjoy a view of the Ohio River. Both outdoor areas are paved so you will not have to worry about getting your shoes dirty.

Is the wedding at an actual water tower?
Answer
Yes! The Water Tower and its pumping station were built in 1860 as the Louisville Water Company's first facilities. After opening, the facility was able to produce 12 million gallons of drinking water a day for the city of Louisville. The pump and water tower are no longer used today and has been turned into a National Historic site and public museum. The WaterWorks museum is housed in the same building as the reception and will be open to guest to explore.

Where should I stay?
Answer
We have room blocks set up with 2 hotels in the Nulu neighborhood of downtown - the Tempo by Hilton and Home2Suites. They are located about a block away from each other. There are direct booking links for each, located under the Travel tab which will automatically apply the discounted room rate. You, of course, do not have to stay at these hotels. If you would like suggestions on where else to book, Grace and Chris are happy to help.

I'm traveling in for the wedding, how should I get around?
Answer
We are trying to make logistics as simple as possible for out of town guests. The non-ceremony events are within walking distance from the blocked hotels. We have also arranged shuttle transportation between the Tempo Hotel and the Water Tower. We ask that you note on your RSVP if you will be using the shuttles. If you are flying in, you will likely not have to rent a car. Ubers and Lyft are easy to book as well if you plan to do any site seeing.
