Question

South Haven Creations - 7379 North Shore Dr, South Haven, MI 49090 …just .5 miles from the nearest public beach on the sandy shores of Lake Michigan! ~3 hour drive from Walled Lake ~1 hour drive from Grand Rapids

Question

What is the weather like in South Haven this time of year?

Answer

Early August in South Haven is typically warm with temperatures averaging around 80°F during the day and cooling to the low 60s in the evening. While rain is unlikely, it's always a good idea to bring a light layer and maybe a small umbrella just in case. Expect plenty of sunshine and a comfortable summer feel—perfect for a celebration. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Question

What date should I RSVP by?

Answer

(TBD)

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP online through our wedding website hosted on Zola. To do so, please visit the “RSVP” section of our website and enter your first and last name exactly as it appears on your invitation. This will allow you to RSVP for yourself and any additional guests included in your invitation. If you encounter any issues or have questions during the process, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us for assistance.

Question

Can I change my RSVP after submitting it?

Answer

Yes, guests can change their RSVP on Zola. To do so, they need to log into their Zola account, navigate to the “My RSVPs” section, and update their response for the event. This allows them to modify their attendance status, meal preferences, or any other details previously submitted. If guests encounter any issues while attempting to change their RSVP, they can reach out to Zola’s support team for assistance.

Question

Where can I stay?

Answer

Please see Travel/Lodging page.

Question

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at hotels?

Answer

We are in the process of reserving two blocks of rooms at two different hotels. For more details on lodging options and nearby choices, please check out the travel page on our wedding website.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We love our whole family and appreciate your support! However, due to space limitations, this will be an adult-only celebration, with the exception of our immediate families and those in the wedding party. We hope you’ll enjoy a fun, kid-free evening with us and truly appreciate your understanding!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We’ve carefully created our guest list, and unfortunately, we’re unable to accommodate additional plus-ones. The names of all invited guests are listed on your formal invitation, and we ask for your understanding in honoring this. We’re so excited to celebrate with you and appreciate you helping us make this day even more special!

Question

Will there be transportation to and from the venue?

Answer

(looking into this) many ubers in area

Question

Can I leave my car at the venue overnight?

Answer

Yes. If there is an event at the venue the next day, cars must be removed from the lot by 10 AM.

Question

Do you have a registry?

Answer

We’re in the process of creating a registry, and we’ll share the details soon in our registry page! Truly, just having you there to celebrate with us is the best gift we could ask for. If you’d like to contribute, it would be an honor, but please know that your presence is what means most to us!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Dress to impress, but stay comfortable! We’d love for everyone to wear something dressy—no casual outfits, please. Sandals are fine, but heels may be tricky on the grass. Bring a light layer for the air-conditioned indoor areas, and since the ceremony is outdoors, don’t forget your sunglasses and sunscreen. Bug spray might come in handy later in the evening by the outdoor firepit. After the ceremony, feel free to change into comfy clothes for outdoor games. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Question

Will it be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

If the weather is nice, the ceremony will be outside. The reception will take place outside and inside, with air conditioner and indoor restrooms. Our reception offers plenty of space and activities for everyone to enjoy! Dance the night away in the separate reception hall with DJ music, or relax by the indoor fireplace in the bar area, complete with cozy couches. Outside, you can enjoy yard games, unwind by the outdoor fireplace on the deck, take a peaceful stroll through the wooded ceremony space, or visit the beach. We’ll also have plenty of delicious food for you to enjoy. Whether you’re dancing, relaxing, or just soaking in the atmosphere, there’s something for everyone!

Question

Will there be a shuttle to and/or from the hotel(s) for the wedding and/or prewedding events?

Answer

tbd

Question

I have a food allergy—who should I inform?

Answer

When you RSVP on Zola, please indicate any dietary restrictions or preferences (such as vegetarian, gluten-free, vegan, etc.) to ensure accommodations are made.

Question

How early can I arrive?

Answer

Please plan to arrive no earlier than [TBD] to allow us time for final setup and preparation. If you happen to arrive early, feel free to explore some local spots like South Beach or take a stroll around town! There’s plenty to see and do nearby while we put the finishing touches on the celebration. We can’t wait to see you there!

Question

What time will your wedding reception end? Is there an after-party?

Answer

The reception will end at 11 PM, so we can wrap up the evening and get ready to head out. As much as we’d love to keep the party going, we’ve got some very excited German Shepherds—Winston and Willow—waiting to celebrate their new “Mr. and Mrs.!” After the reception, we’ll be heading home to love up our pups, so we ask that you join us in wrapping things up at 11. Thank you for making this day so special!

Question

Is it ok to take photos during the ceremony and post pictures on social media?

Answer

We’re having an unplugged ceremony, so we kindly ask that you put away all phones and cameras to let our photographer work their magic. We want everyone to be fully present for this special moment. During the reception, feel free to use the disposable cameras we’ve provided, or your own phone to capture fun moments! Please refrain from posting on social media as we value our privacy and wish to share our memories in our own time. Thanks for understanding!

Question

Will there be a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception?

Answer

There will be a (TBD) minute cocktail hour between the ceremony and reception.

Question

Could you suggest places to eat, drink, and see while I'm in town for your wedding?

Answer

Please view the “Things to Do” page. There are many wonderful places for you to check out while you’re here!

Question

Will there be other events to attend on the wedding weekend?

Answer

Question

Is there anything I should bring as a guest?

Answer
