If you have any questions other than the ones listed below, please reach out to us at kleinandcline@gmail.com.
Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

You can RSVP by following the instructions you will receive in your emailed invitation!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code is “beach formal” - in general, think one step below business casual and definitely not black tie. Here are some examples: Men: long pants (nice jeans are OK) and collared shirts (dress shirts, polos, etc.) Ties and blazers not required but welcome! Women: sundress or blouse and skirt or nice pants This article has additional details: https://www.theknot.com/content/wedding-guest-attire-cheat-sheet#beach-formal Weather in San Diego tends to be mild year-round, especially in May. You should bring a jacket or sweater, since the ceremony is in the evening and the reception will be going until midnight. Don’t forget to wear or bring comfortable shoes if you plan to dance with us! The ceremony is a waterfront location on paved, flat ground outdoors, NOT on sand; the reception is held on flat, bamboo flooring indoors. The ceremony and reception are on the ground level and are handicap accessible.

Question

Which airport is closest?

Answer

San Diego International (SAN) is 5 minutes away from our venue! 3225 N Harbor Dr San Diego, CA 92101 https://www.san.org

Question

Can I bring a date/children?

Answer

The RSVP page will list the number and names of guests in your party, including any plus ones and children, if applicable.

Question

Can I take pictures/videos?

Answer

During the ceremony, our officiant will announce a "Photo Minute" following the procession for anyone who wishes to take pictures or videos. Besides the Photo Minute, we kindly ask that all guests keep their phones away and on silent for the duration of the ceremony, including the procession, so that we can be fully present with you. Don't worry, we'll have a professional photo/video team capturing the whole day. Once the reception starts, please take all the photos and videos you’d like! Just make sure to use our wedding hashtag if you post them: #kleinandcline. This will help us keep track of them!

Question

Is smoking allowed?

Answer

We ask that all of our guests refrain from smoking on Bali Hai’s property.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

Bali Hai offers plenty of free parking in front of the restaurant, and Humphreys Half Moon Inn is a 5-minute walk away! If you plan on drinking at our reception, we strongly encourage you to plan for an Uber, Lyft, or taxi back to your hotel (or to walk if you’re staying at Humphreys). Bali Hai is not known for weak drinks!

Question

What’s the difference between Bali Hai and the Bahia?

Answer

The two venues have similar names, so be sure to double check your destination when planning! Bali Hai is our wedding venue, a waterfront Polynesian restaurant located on Shelter Island, overlooking downtown San Diego. The Bahia Resort is a waterfront hotel located on Mission Beach, overlooking Mission Bay.

Question

What are the COVID-19 rules?

Answer

Given the unpredictable nature of the pandemic and the speed at which new variants can arise, we have some ground rules in place in an effort to keep all of our guests safe. Masks are not required, but you are welcome to bring and wear them if you would feel uncomfortable otherwise! We may need to revise this rule at any time based on local and federal guidance. If you are only comfortable attending the outdoor ceremony, but not the indoor reception with buffet-style dinner and dancing, please let us know - we get it! Since we’ll have so many of our loved ones in one place, some of whom may be in a higher risk category, we are requiring that all eligible guests (as of May 14, 2022) be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, based on current CDC guidelines. If you are experiencing any COVID-like symptoms in the days prior to the wedding, AND/OR if you have decided not to receive the vaccine, we respectfully ask that you not attend.
