Medieval Town of Toruń
We love going here to get some food at one of the many restaurants then walk along the river, Bulwar Filadelfijski. Everything is a walkable distance from the hotel, so feel free to wander around. The heart of the Old Town is called Rynek Staromiejski where the town hall is located. Remember to look up at the buildings, some of them have interesting statues. Toruń is not only known as Nicolaus Copernicus's hometown, but also for the delicious gingerbread sold around the city.
Home of Nicolaus Copernicus
This building is the birthplace and home of the famous astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus. He was the first person who discovered that Earth revolved around the Sun, known as the heliocentric theory.
Cafe & Cukiernia Lenkiewicz
Lenkiewicz is one of our favorite places to grab ice cream on hot (and cold) days. This ice cream cafe has been around since 1945 and has been enjoyed by many generations of Torun's residents.
Krzywa Wieża w Toruniu
Torun's very own leaning tower. It is a popular tradition to try to balance while leaning your back against the tower. According to the legend behind it, if your sins are less than the knight who created it, you will be able to balance. Bonus points if you are a few drinks deep while attempting this!
