Best Airport: Dulles International Airport (IAD) Located just 15 minutes from the wedding hotels, IAD is the most convenient airport for out-of-town guests. Uber or taxi rides are quick and reliable. Also Nearby: Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) About a 30-minute drive from the wedding hotels, DCA is ideal if you're planning to explore Washington, DC before or after the big day. Itâs closer to downtown and well-connected to public transit. Not Recommended: Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI) While sometimes cheaper, BWI is nearly 3 hours from the wedding area. Transportation costs (Uber/taxi) can be highâoften canceling out any savings from the flight.
Weâre keeping things fun, relaxed, and delicious! Welcome Drinks To kick things off, weâll be serving refreshing vodka lemonade and non-alcoholic beverages upon arrival. Open Bar Enjoy a full open bar throughout the evening featuring a selection of popular beers, wines, and liquors. Dinner Our dinner will be self-serve BBQ style, with chicken & pulled pork and vegetarian options.
We chose Leesburg, Virginia because we absolutely love the location and the beautiful, rustic farm vibeâitâs the perfect setting to celebrate with the people we love most. A little local history: Leesburg was established in 1758 and may have been named in honor of Thomas Lee, a prominent Virginian whose sons were early town trustees. While often mistaken for being named after Robert E. Lee, the townâs roots actually run even deeper into Virginiaâs colonial past. Weâre so excited to share this special place with you!
This will be an adults only wedding, thank you for understanding!
Apparently we are getting married on one of the most popular weekends in Leesburg! Both of our hotels filled up quickly, and therefore we encourage guests to stay at any nearby hotel and come by Homewood Suites & Hampton Inn for transportation to and from the venue, with the shuttle picking up the first round of guests at 4pm. If you choose to drive, there is ample free parking at the venue- Riverside on the Potomac.
