Things To Do

Houston, Texas is the fourth largest city in the U.S with plenty of food and culture to explore. Here are some of our favorites all throughout Houston for you to explore close by the wedding (The Woodlands) and more central where the bride and groom live (~30 minutes south of the wedding venue).

The Woodlands

The Woodlands, TX

The Woodlands is the area of Houston where lodging is located for the wedding; it is full of many restaurants and attractions to fill the rest of your wedding weekend. The specific area is located along the Woodlands Waterway, that features a free trolley to take you around the area (including a stop right in front of the host hotel!). See the links for the websites for more details on the area. Keep in mind that our host hotel is located Hughes Landing when looking at the map https://www.visitthewoodlands.com/plan-your-trip/transportation/waterway-trolley/

Saint Arnold Brewing Company

2000 Lyons Avenue, Houston, TX 77020

One of our favorite breweries to enjoy with the structure of an deconstructed church that creates the outdoor patio. If beer is not for you, their homemade rootbeer is also incredible!

City Orchard Cidery

1201 Oliver Street, Houston, TX 77007

Our favorite cidery! We recommend Silver Tip or Mr. Green.

Truth BBQ

110 South Heights Boulevard, Houston, TX 77007

If you want authentic Texas BBQ, we cannot recommend Truth enough! Now for the most authentic experience, get on line right before they open, wait in line and we promise you it will be worth it. Also, don't sleep on the tatertot casserole and corn pudding!
