Things To Do

Brunch

406 4th Avenue East, Olympia, WA 98501
, (360) 932-6030

Favorite restaurant, when we first started dating we found out Jessenia went there for lunch regularly and Karama went after work for homework just missing each other. Still a favorite. An elaborate birthday scavenger hunt started there as well. Ask for the story!

Olympia Coffee Roasting

600 4th Avenue East, Olympia, WA 98501
, (360) 753-0066

This is where we met and the best coffee in town!

Percival Landing Park

217 Thurston Avenue Northwest, Olympia, WA 98501
, (360) 753-8380

Jessenia proposed to karama at the tower where our first date was. Walk the waterfront at Perceval landing to find the tower and amazing views of the mountains, islands and Salish sea.

Oly Taproom

312 Columbia Street Northwest, Olympia, WA 98501
, (360) 515-0661

A great waterside location to grab a beer or cider, pizza and more. Jessenia worked here for awhile and many of our days were spent there before that. The owner San is amazing and many of the staff are friends. You can buy drinks to go. For out of towners, this is a must go. Cali can’t touch northwest craft alcohol in quality or selection. You’re in for a treat.

Red Lion Inn & Suites, Olympia Governor Hotel

621 Capitol Way South, Olympia, WA 98501
, (360) 352-7700

Centrally located hotel

Tumwater Falls Park

110 Deschutes Way Southwest, Tumwater, WA 98501
, (360) 943-2550

A beautiful small park to explore where the salmon cross jumping up the water falls. Children’s play ground is a large pirate ship. Cute date spot and a wonderful destination for runners.

Skokomish Park at Lake Cushman

7211 North Lake Cushman Road, Hoodsport, WA 98548
, (360) 877-5760

If you have a vehicle and want to see some beautiful places the Skokomish have the most beautiful home and is under an hour away. The lake views and feeling and clean water you can swim in is breath taking and worth the drive. If you came early for the wedding-a visit to skokomish and cushman is reason enough.

Squaxin Island Museum, Library and Research Center

150 SE Kwuh-Deegs-Altxw, Shelton, WA 98584
, (360) 432-3839

A must see for visitors. The local nations are squaxin, nisqually, chehalis, skokomish. Spending time learning about any of these local nations is amazing but Karama’s step family she grew up with is squaxin and all over the walls and paddles there so an extra joy to recommend. Plus their architecture 🔥

Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge

100 Brown Farm Road Northeast, Olympia, WA 98516
, (360) 753-9467

Billy frank jr is a iconic warrior and hero. Look him up and if you want to walk through a beautiful preserve along the flats (beautiful birds to note) and through waterways this is the place to go.
