Matron of Honor
Vanessa has been my very best friend since the 6th grade. We grew together, went to college together (Go 'Heels!!), even went through pregnancy together (shout out to Dylan and Taylor!). She is truly a blessing on my life and there is no one else I'd rather have stand up for me than someone who knows and loves me like she does.
Maid of Honor
Evan is my self-proclaimed Maid of Honor (a role that she seized in a way that makes me wonder if she is capable of overthrowing a country one day!). She is an amazing daughter and I know she would do anything for me. If you want someone that will have your back no matter what, it's her! I value her opinion and eagerness... also, I didn't have much of a choice after she made her own name badge.
Best Man
A friendship that dates back 28 years, from college to career, Marcel is truly my brother from another mother. The voice of reason in many situations, I am honored to call him my best man.
Best Teen
Dylan is the best young man I know (ok, maybe I'm a bit biased!). We are so proud to have our first born stand up for us. He is the kindest, most joyful ray of light you'll ever meet. He is ernest, loyal, and would do anything for anyone. He never meets a stranger and makes everyone feel welcomed.
Mother of the Bride
Diane is the person who first set my feet on my path. She is a wonderful, supportive mother, whom I model my own parenting after. She has always been the first person I turn to in a pinch, for advice, and to ask for all my cooking tips. Her guidance is clear on my life and I hope that I have made her proud to be my mom.
Father of the Bride
Curtis was the first man I ever loved. I thought he could do anything... and most things, he can! He is my go to for everything, I don't know if I'm more of a mama's baby or daddy's girl, but I'm so blessed to have him. He has been the stick by which all other men are measuered. I am so happy that he not only approves of Jason and has given his blessing, but he genuinely likes Jason and has welcomed him into the family.
Officiant
Phillip has always showcased the principles of a man of God. His compassion, and willingness to go above and beyond can be seen in his everyday life. What started out as a brief introduction in college, blossomed into a lifelong friendship and brotherhood. I am so blessed to have this man of God, my brother, Phillip, as my officiant.
Sister of the Bride/Hostess
Missy has guided me and helped me every step of the way, with her advice and input. From the time I could walk, I was on her heels wanting to be just like big sis! She is always there when I need her, and I will always be grateful.
Father of the Groom
Many little boys dream of having the presence of a caring and loving father in their life. Walter was that and so much more. He taught me the values and foundation of what it means to be a man and how to provide for my family. I am forever grateful to have him in my life.
Mother of the Groom
Juanita has always displayed the maternal characteristics of a caregiver and nurturer that I admired so much. I strived to find a woman in my life that shared the same natural qualities as my mom. I am joyful that she embraces Kitra and welcomes her into the family.
