The Wedding Website of Alison Marie Johnson and Nathan Henderson Kite
Sayulita is a small, laid-back, surfer town located in Riviera Nayarit on the west coast of Mexico. Puerto Vallarta is the closest major city (and airport - PVR), it’s approximately a 60-minute drive. Nathan and Alison first fell in love with Sayulita in 2019 and they have envisioned their wedding there ever since! Sayulita may not be a “best-kept secret” anymore, but it has retained a hippie, laid-back, friendly vibe. This eclectic Mexican beach town has been labeled a Pueblo Mágico (Magic Town) - and we are SO excited to share that magic with you during our wedding weekend! The wedding venue is called Brisa Mar Palapa, also known as Don Pedro's Palapa - located next door to The Original Villa Amor. We have a room block at Villa Amor however, there are many hotel, airbnb or hostel options located nearby. Sayulita is a small town and walkable or a short golf cart ride around to most central locations! See our room block and other recommendations below.

Flight

Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR) Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport

You will fly into Puerto Vallarta (Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport, airport code - PVR). Sayulita is a 45-60 minute drive from the PVR airport. We have found the best ticket prices through American Airlines, Southwest and Viva Aerobus. There are a few options to get from PVR to Sayulita: -Uber: this is the easiest and most affordable option. Exit the airport and go left, cross the pedestrian bridge to the other side of the street and call the Uber from there (typically they are less than 5 minutes away). Approx. $30-$60 USD. -Taxi: right outside of the airport (typically there is a long taxi line). Approx. $60-$100 USD. -Shuttle: pre-book a shuttle service (recommended for larger groups). Price varies per company and number of people. -We DO NOT recommend renting a car due to parking bring very limited, and the town of Sayulita is easily accessible by walking but be prepared for hills . We DO highly recommend planning to rent a golf cart! Golf carts are readily available to rent in town which are more convenient (and more fun) than renting a car. Approx. $50 USD per day and can be shared between 4 people.
