Alison was invited to join her then new friend Rose at Arise Music Festival in Loveland, Colorado. During the drive to Colorado they got lost and arrived to the festival campgrounds after dark. Not knowing who would be there, where they would camp, and how in the world they would set up their tent in the dark, they walked towards the festival gate entrance. Upon their arrival and to their surprise one of Rose's friends, Nathan, was standing nearby. He happily greeted them and asked if they wanted to set up their tent next to the spot where he and some of his friends from Fort Worth were camping. Over the next few days Alison and Nathan instantly bonded "like moths to a flame," and explored festival activities together with their friends. Saturday night during a music set Nathan finally made a move and danced with Alison. They spent the rest of that night talking and getting to know each other on a deeper level and realized that all of the synchronicities in their lives paralleled and the rest was history! Then recently single, Alison still remembers thinking on that first morning of the festival, "where is this guy's girlfriend or wife?!" not knowing that they would fall in love and that she would be the one that he would ask to be his wife and spend forever with!

Nathan proposed to Alison during the Texas Eclipse Festival on the day of the solar moon eclipse. The festival was being cancelled that day due to incoming weather. He woke Alison up and pulled her from the tent telling her what was going on and that they had to get ready to leave. He grabbed her hand and began walking towards a hill filled with beautiful bluebonnets. Confused, and still waking up (as many of you know, she is NOT a morning person) Alison exclaimed, "where are we going?!" Once they were on top of the hill, Nathan got down on one knee and proposed!!!
