Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

We've added a variety of hotels located in both La Grange and in Louisville on the "Travel" tab. You can also check for local AirBNB's and traditional bed and breakfasts in the area. We have also booked a hotel block and you can view the details of that on the "Travel" tab.

Question

What time should we arrive? What is the timeline?

Answer

Welcome and settling in starts at 4 p.m. The ceremony will start at 4:30 p.m. After the ceremony, enjoy a cocktail/mocktail with appetizers, while the wedding party works with the photographer. Then we will begin the reception, which includes dinner, dancing and a few surprises! We'll start to wrap things up around 10/10:30.

Question

So what's the basic vibe of this wedding?

Answer

We want everyone to have fun and celebrate with us on our happy wedding day! There will be yard games, appetizers & snacks, fun surprises, a food truck, dancing (and probably even a few speeches). And of course, dessert!

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

Dress for an outdoor early fall garden party! Think “country chic” or "elevated casual". We will be in a covered barn with open doors. The ceremony will be in a meadow outside, so you may regret wearing certain types of heels because of the grass. (Don’t want to miss out on the yard games!) Be cute, be comfy, be warm, and don't forget to layer just in case it gets chilly. Suggestions: Weather appropriate semi-casual dresses, button up shirts and slacks, floral prints if you wish, fall colors if you wish. No jacket is required, unless you desire to wear one due to weather. Hopefully, the weather will be mild at this time of year. Sure, it's a wedding, and we look forward to seeing everyone looking nice, but we want you to be comfortable, too! Our only request is that you do not wear a solid white or ivory dress. *Contact us at the wedding email if you have any questions. Kitandbetsywedding@gmail.com

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We ask that you only bring a "plus one" or guest if your paper invite includes one. If it says "and guest" on your invitation, you may bring any one person. If it says, "and (name)", you may bring the person named. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. Due to the size restrictions of our venue, we will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. If you have any questions, or if you feel that we may have made a mistake and left someone off of the invite accidentally, please reach out to us BEFORE August 15. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

Yes, we will be inviting families with children and they are welcome. Please RSVP for each child who will be in attendance so we can be sure they will be accommodated. We will have a table with kids activities and some yard games set up for kids (and adults!) to enjoy. All children under 10 will need to be in the sight & care of a parent or guardian at all times. Please be aware that as the night gets later, and the wine is consumed, the party and the music will, of course, become less inhibited. (We'll be getting silly!)

Question

Will there be vegetarian, vegan or GF options available for the meal?

Answer

Yes! It is important to us that our guests have food options. You will have an opportunity to request a vegan, vegetarian or gluten free option when RSVPing. We will have appetizers, a fun, casual meal, and a variety of desserts. We will also serve 2 signature cocktails and beer & wine, as well as nonalcoholic options. Please email us @ Kitandbetsywedding@gmail.com if you have any concerns.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be in the same location?

Answer

Yes! There will be no need to travel between venues. We will simply transition from the meadow to the reception area a few feet away!

Question

What is the venue like?

Answer

It is an open-air, covered barn. The ceremony will take place in a meadow and the reception will take place in the barn. The ground surfaces will consist of grass, gravel and solid concrete.

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

You can access the RSVP tab on this website! RSVP's are important to us because we want to make sure we can accommodate our guests with seating and refreshments, etc. as best we can. If you do not RSVP, we will not be able to plan for you to attend. We hope you can make it!

Question

What if I RSVP'd already, but now I can't make it?

Answer

That's ok! We understand that life happens! We will miss you and hope to celebrate with you at the next opportunity. We just ask that you let us know of the status change of your RSVP as soon as possible so that we can plan accordingly.

Question

What if the RSVP won't work?

Answer

If you received an invitation, you ARE invited. That being said, some of our guests have had trouble entering their names. We aren't sure what may be causing this, but if this happens to you, PLEASE send us an email at kitandbetsywedding@gmail.com and we will assist you. If the RSVP page isn't working for you, we still need to know if you can make it in order to ensure that a seat will be set for you at the table and a meal will be ready for you. Just shoot us an email at the above address, along with the following info: 1. RSVP yes or no for you and anyone else on your invitation. 2. Do you need a vegan, vegetarian or Gluten free meal option? We will then manually RSVP for you and confirm your reservation via email. Thank you.

Question

Of course I'm coming! I'm your best friend/cousin/aunt/uncle! Do I really have to RSVP since you know I'll be there?

Answer

Please do! It really helps us out. We are keeping track of RSVP's using a spreadsheet generated by this website. If you don't RSVP, we won't know how many people are coming and run the risk of excluding someone important to us from having a seat at the table. We want to make sure this doesn't happen. Your RSVP is very much appreciated even if we "know" you are coming.

Question

What if I still have questions?

Answer

Send one of us a text or an email @kitandbetsywedding@gmail.com and we will try to answer any questions as best we can. If your question falls on the day of the wedding or rehearsal dinner the night before, we may redirect your questions to our coordinator or another person, to be announced.
