The two of us met at a Friendsgiving party three years ago. I looked like a roller-derby chick and I guess he was into that for some reason. At the time, I didn't think much of him, but he was kind and entertaining. I didn't know anyone else at the party so I spent the night joking around with him. He was the first guy who didn't either treat me like glass or treat me like excrement. He left early and I had to go on a journey the next day to find out his number. It wasn't love at first sight, or first date, or first month. We went on one date a month for three months and each date had ended with one of us being vaguely annoyed with the other. At some point, things clicked and he became my best friend. We have no secrets, no shame, and a whole lot of love.
As many of you know, Ryan and I are currently living in a mother-in-law suite that has two rooms. Since we are so limited on space and we have everything we need, we are requesting heartfelt cards with money. We are saving up for the down payment on our future home which we hope to buy in the next couple of years. That said, any form of generosity, be it cash or gifts or just your loving presence, will be much appreciated. We are really looking forward to celebrating our relationship with the people we care most about.
