YES! Both the ceremony and the reception will be at The Spot on West 5th. We will start with the ceremony, have a short cocktail break (while we take a couple of family photos) and then it's on to dinner and the party!
There are several parking lots and hotels near our venue. Here's a helpful webpage by our venue to help you get sorted! https://spotonwestfifth.com/event-venue-hotels/
We'll be having tacos and tostadas from Mezunte here in Cincinnati. They're delicious! We will have a full salsa bar, yum! We will have a vegetarian option as well as pork and chicken. This will be done buffet style, but Mezunte's employees will be dishing out the food to reduce the possibility of COVID exposure for our guests.
We're pretty laid back! Our official attire recommendation is cocktail attire, but we're pretty flexible. We just want you all to have a great time!
Unfortunately, no. We will have a limited number of children at the wedding (namely just the kids that are in the wedding). With COVID restrictions being what they are, we want to make sure you all have a great time! We would love to celebrate with the kiddos at a later date when restrictions lift!
We will try to say a quick hello to everyone, but we'd be very happy to set up individual Zoom times with everyone to get the chance to catch up! Just send us an email at kistthegirl2021@gmail.com! c:
Absolutely. We are working on getting 3-4 interpreters so that everyone can join in the fun (and communicate with the bride with masks on!) We are trying to have one interpret for Matthew, one for Jessica (the officiant) and at least 1-2 who will sign for Zoom so that it's clearly understandable. If you have questions, please let us know! We're doing our best to make this as accessible as possible!
Unfortunately, no. However, there are many hotels very close to our venue! If you should need a ride to and/or from your hotel, please let us know (phone numbers are at the top of the page) as soon as possible and we'll make sure to arrange something for you!
YES, it is likely that masks will be required. If things get better, and its safe to congregate without using masks, that's great! At this point, we ask that you bring your own mask. If you forget one, we will do our best to provide some. We ask that you wear it when you're not at the table. PLEASE NOTE: Emma is deaf, and her hearing (even with hearing aids) is very minimal when masks make it so that she cannot lipread. She will have an interpreter with her. If you've never used an interpreter, she'll be happy to explain how it works. c;
If you're attending via Zoom, of course! If you are attending in person, only the people listed on your invitation are welcome to attend. Due to COVID restrictions, we have to keep a strict eye on how many people are in the venue. We want enough space to make sure everyone is safe, but can still have a good time. We would love to get to hang out with you at a different time to catch up, though! If you're from out of town, we would love to arrange to meet up with you before you leave again! Just let us know!
Duh. It's 2021! Of course we do! It's #kistthegirl. Please tag it on your social media pages!
