We ask that you kindly respond by March 10th, 2023 with a joyful acceptance or a regretful decline. Earlier responses will allow other loved ones the opportunity to be extended an invite.
Though we would love to celebrate with everyone, we do have a strict guest list. All invited guests' names are listed on the first insert of your wedding invitation. Your invitation will explicitly state a plus one if a spot has been reserved.
We are asking all guests to dress in Summer Cocktail Attire for the Ceremony & Reception. This means tea-length or midi dresses, matching sets, or pantsuits for the ladies. Suits or sport coats and slacks for the gents. The entire venue consists of gravel, dirt and grass, so please plan your footwear accordingly. We want everyone to feel comfortable and ready to hit the dance floor! The evenings can cool down in Oregon, so please bring a light jacket or shawl, in case you start to feel chilly.
Brown, terracotta, and burgundy, with greenery and copper accents. Bridesmaids will be wearing terrecotta dresses. Groomsmen will be wearing dark blue suits. The scenery for our wedding, the Deschutes National Forest, is predominantly brown and green, so we recommend wearing darker, contrasting colors for photos.
We are asking guests to give themselves 10 minutes to walk across the grounds or drive closer to the ceremony site. Please plan on arriving and taking a seat between 3:45pm - 4:00pm.
An Unplugged Ceremony means no personal photography or videography. We are asking all guests to place their phones on silent and enjoy the moment as we exchange personal vows. We have hired an extremely talented, professional photographer to take photos and she promises to share all the good ones!
We have many loved ones with dietary restrictions and will make any necessary accommodations on your behalf. We will be having an open buffet, keeping in mind gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, and soy-free diets. When you RSVP there will be a spot to let us know of any specific diet needs or severe allergies.
Lodging check-in time is after 4:00pm on Friday, June 9th. Check-out time is by 11:00am on Sunday, June 11th.
There is plenty of parking on site. Each cabin has an assigned parking spot, in close proximity to the front door. Additional parking can also be found in front of the Main Lodge.
We are asking that you take the weekend to unplug and celebrate with us! Cell reception varies depending on your carrier and your location on campus. Wifi is available in the Main Lodge and Deck but not in individual cabins. We promise there is plenty of entertainment to enjoy locally!
Alcohol will be provided via bartenders both Friday and Saturday night (guests under 30 may be asked to show ID). Any alcohol brought by guests will be for personal enjoyment at their cabins only. BYO alcohol is not allowed during scheduled group events (Welcome Dinner, Ceremony and Reception).
All lodging facilities and lodge grounds are non-smoking. Due to extreme fire danger in the National Forest, Lake Creek Lodge is smoke and fire free (no smoking, vaping, or open flames). Smoking of any kind needs to be conducted off campus (i.e. the main road or farther). Evidence of smoking will result in a $250 cleaning fee.
