Questions??? We've got answers... hopefully.
Question

1. What social distance measures and safety precautions will be taken in light of the COVID-19 pandemic?

Answer

We have planned for a socially distanced wedding ceremony and reception, and we want all of our guests to feel safe and have fun. We'll have the following safety & social distance measures in place: 1. We've downsized our wedding guest list to an intimate number of about 40 people. We are following state guidelines around the number of people we can safely gather in an outdoor venue. 2. We are seating fewer people per table, and tables will be set up at least 6 feet apart. 3. Sanitizing stations and antibacterial wipes will be available for hand sanitizing and for wiping down frequently touched surfaces. 4. Social distancing 6ft apart from people outside of your household will be encouraged if you are not vaccinated. 5. Guests who are not vaccinated will be encouraged to wear masks when not seated at table.

Question

2. What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire (i.e. cocktail dresses, suit & tie). If you are not vaccinated, please plan on bringing and wearing a mask when not seated and/ or when interacting with people outside of your household. Disposable masks will be available in case you forget to bring one.

Question

3. What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

July in Troutdale, OR is typically warm and sunny, with average temps in the high 70s/ low 80s. It might be a good idea to bring sunglasses, although the yard is mostly shaded by trees.

Question

4. Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

Both the ceremony and the reception will take place in the Administrator's Yard (outdoor setting) at McMenamins Edgefield. The yard is brick-paved and flat, and restrooms are in the main building adjacent to the Administrator's House & Yard. LOCATION Twenty minutes east of downtown Portland off Interstate 84, at the west entrance of the Columbia River Gorge, 15 minutes from Portland International Airport and 5 minutes from Troutdale Municipal Airport.

Question

5. What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, guests can choose to mingle, remain in their seats and relax, check out the selfie station, or peruse the appetizer options and the bar until dinner is served. We will be serving dinner and beverages at 6:30pm, with cake cutting and dancing to follow.

Question

6. Does your wedding have a theme?

Answer

Our wedding party will be wearing vintage/ 50s style attire, and we have a blended theme of rustic 1950s era elegance, music, and nature. Feel free to dress according to the theme, but no pressure.

Question

7. What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no” on our website, so we can plan accordingly.

Question

8. How do I get to the venue?

Answer

Question

Question

13. Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

McMenamins has a block of 12 rooms reserved for the wedding. They are released 45 days prior to the event. We are encouraging people to stay at McMenamins, so that it’s a fun (and safe) experience at one location. Please note that some rooms do not have air conditioning, so check if this is important to you. Some rooms also have a shared bathroom, due to the historic nature of the building.

Answer

Please RSVP on our website by May 30th, 2021.

Question

15. Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

Dinner will be served shortly after the ceremony. There will be vegetarian, gluten free, and non-dairy options. Menu to be determined soon. Drinks will be available. Any dietary considerations can be accommodated. Please contact us if you have a very specific request.

Question

16. Where are you registered?

Answer

Your presence is gift enough, but if you're feeling particularly generous, we'd be super grateful for any cash contribution you can make to our first home down-payment fund. Alternatively, we'd love for you to buy us a vinyl record for our starter collection as a married couple. Our registry can be found on our wedding website under the Our Registry tab from the menu.

Question

17. Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels. Our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #StokedForSteiner, so we can keep track of all of your photos!
