Whitewater Rafting
The Arkansas river has legendary rafting and river kayaking. Highly recommend this experience for out-of-towners!
Mount Princeton Hot Springs
Colorado is known for its many natural hot springs. Take a dip in the evening for some great stargazing!
Hike S Mountain
S Mountain is visible from anywhere in Salida. (Also known as Tenderfoot Mountain). Make the hike during the day for the views, or grab a headlamp and hike up at night when the big heart lights up!
St. Elmo, CO
Enjoy the scenic drive through Chalk Creek Canyon (and perhaps some hikes on the way!) to Colorado’s best preserved ghost town. High clearance and 4WD vehicles are recommended.

This is our favorite brewery in the area (mostly for the views of the 14ers)

Riverside Park
Riverside park is located downtown Salida (just across F Street from our reception location!) we recommend taking a walk along the river and finding some good rocks to sit on and watch the kayakers come down the Arkansas River
Hike the Collegiate Peaks
*EXPERIENCED HIKERS ONLY* Hike some 14ers before heading out of town! This is only recommended for our Colorado guests who are acclimated to the altitude and have hiking experience. Be sure to be prepared and knowledgeable about hiking 14ers! Ask us for more Californian-friendly hikes!
F Street Shopping
Stroll up and down F Street and explore the quirky shops! There are some great shops for souvenirs.
