Bride
Groom
Upon first meeting, Ray's charming nerdiness easily captured Kirsten's heart. Kirsten first fell in love with Ray because he made her laugh, and he continues to make her laugh every day. Beyond a shared sense of humor, Ray proves to Kirsten that he is the kind of man she wants to marry every day. He is the calm to her storm and best friend. (Seriously, Kirsten and Ray do everything together!)
Mother of the Groom
It is no secret where Ray gets his outgoing personality from. Tricia can connect with anyone and put them at ease in her presence. Her hospitality is unmatched. Staying with the Schoonmakers during the early days of lockdown meant Kirsten ate three square meals a day for the first time since moving out for college. Not to mention, Tricia is endlessly thoughtful, always finding ways to make the people around her feel cared for and understood.
Father of the Groom
"Big Ray" is equal parts smart and goofy — a combination of traits his son inherited. Little Ray learned quiet generosity from his father. Before the check has reached the table, the bill has already been paid. Not to mention, Little Ray's on-and-off Lego obsession is most certainly inspired by his father's affinity for building. Ask him about the Roadside America that occupies the second floor of his house.
Mother of the Bride
Kirsten owes her beautiful smile and warm demeanor to her mother. Being the hard-working woman she is, Bobbie Ann taught her one and only daughter to read before she started kindergarten, which fostered a love of learning at home and sparked an interest in language that blossomed into a career for Kirsten. Both Bobbie Ann and Kirsten have an affinity for running and have finished several 5Ks together. (Admittedly, Kirsten typically finishes a little after Bobbie Ann.)
Stepfather of the Bride
As Kirsten's stepdad, Eddie has been present for moments both big and small. He logged many hours of curb bumping while Kirsten had her learner's permit and taught the bride how to makes the best tilapia. Above all, he taught Kirsten that family is not defined by blood. Fun fact: many late nights waiting at Neshaminy High School to pick up Kirsten from marching band competitions prepared Eddie for this midnight ceremony!
Stepmother of the Bride
Lucy often says to Kirsten, "I didn't push you out, but I love you like I did." Leading by example, she showed Kirsten how to be unapologetically herself. Her appreciation for uniqueness is a trait Kirsten admires greatly. She indulged every one of Kirsten's passing interests as an opportunity to nourish a passion. However, the most meaningful moment the two shared was when Lucy took Kirsten to see Justin Bieber in concert.
Father of the Bride
Although you wouldn't be able to tell they were related by looking, Kirsten is without a doubt Ken's daughter. (He still claims the paternity test is out.) Kirsten was inspired by her father's love of music to learn an instrument, which she would have given up on quickly if it weren't for his patience and encouragement when it came time to learn how to read sheet music. His loyalty to his bass guitar runs almost as deep as his love for his city's football team. Go birds!
Bridesmaid
Kirsten met Lee at freshman orientation at college at West Chester University. The two instantly clicked, discovering that they not only shared the same major, but also the same stupid sense of humor. Apart from the laughs, they entertain each other's every thought. To call their phone calls frequent would be an understatement; they get separation anxiety just going to work. Seriously, it's good that Ray gets along with Lee because he's basically marrying Lee too.
Bridesmaid
Kirsten met Audrey in a creative writing class at West Chester University in her junior year. First, Josh fell in love with Audrey. Then, Kirsten shortly followed. Poetry continues to play an important role in their friendship, but their bond goes beyond a shared interest. Audrey has been a constant since she entered Kirsten's life. Audrey is always lending an ear, giving thoughtful rabbit-related gifts, and making Kirsten feel extremely lucky to have a friend like her.
Bridesmaid
When the Natals entered Kirsten's life, they welcomed her with open arms. Kirsten spent several weekends throwing her little cousin Cadence around in the pool in the summer and countless trips to Peddler's Village to see Christmas lights in winter. As adults, Cadence and Kirsten bond over Discord, watching South Park and playing computer games.
Groomsman
Kirsten met Josh first in Creative Writing Club at West Chester University, but they became friends in a microbiology lecture in the winter of 2018. Little did she know, Josh was a longtime friend of Ray going all the way back to seventh-grade homeroom.
Groomsman
Ray and Tyler met in seventh-grade homeroom. Fun Fact: Kirsten is the first girl Ray dated in college that Tyler didn't immediately hate. (Perhaps that was the first sign that the couple was built to last!) Over the years, Tyler has become more than just a grade school acquaintance or college roommate; he's been a constant presence, a trusted confidant, and a friend Kirsten and Ray are happy to have standing by their side on a day as special as this one.
Groomsman
Ray met Joe during rush for Pi Lambda Phi. The two quickly found a concert buddy in each other.
"Something Blue" Crew
Summer and Kirsten never had to meet. The two grew up together. For as long as she can remember, Summer has always been present for life's big milestones: birthday parties, graduations, talent shows. The two have made many memories playing Barbies and making up dance routines while the mother of the bride, Bobbie Ann, watched her nieces, the Friel kids, after school.
"Something Blue" Crew
Samantha is the little cousin Kirsten saw grow up before her eyes; she remembers holding her when she came home from the hospital after being born.
Best Man
Though Petey would love to be in attendance, he must decline the invitation because he would most definitely steal the show on the big day. He is such an attention hog! Not to mention, it's best to eliminate the possibility of him breaking another leg on the dance floor. Enough vet bills have been paid on his behalf. Plus, he's only got three left!
Rabbit of Honor
Although that salad served with dinner sounded quite enticing, Luna prefers the company of other rabbits and a quiet night to the company of humans and dancing to loud music. Please have a drink for her, as she has been occasionally caught sipping from unattended alcoholic beverages left at rabbit-level. Like her mother, her go-to is Jack and Coke.
