FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

The sooner, the better! We ask that, at the very latest, our guests RSVP by November 1st, 2026. The holidays can quickly become busy, and we'd rather not spend them harassing our wedding guests.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

The annual Mummers parade will take place on Broad Street on New Year's Day, the morning after our wedding. This will involve road closures and heavy traffic. Please plan accordingly.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Parking will be available and pre-paid at a lot close to the venue for those who plan to drive home after the events of the night, including the afterparty. Please note that the parking is for our wedding date only and will not be extended until the next morning. If you plan to stay the night in a hotel, we encourage you to park your car close to your hotel and take the heel-toe express or other means of transportation over to the venue. Be warned that the Philadelphia Parking Authority does not mess around.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Please wear cocktail attire. Classic examples of cocktail attire include a knee-length or tea-length dress or a suit and tie. Alternatively, dressy separates or a nice jumpsuit fit the bill. We encourage guests to embrace a darker color palette. Think deep jewel tones — emerald green, navy blue, wine red, and plum. (Of course, black is always in.) Please avoid wearing light colors, especially shades of white and ivory.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We ask that only those who were addressed on the invitation be in attendance.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we look forward to including our younger family members in future life events, this one is adults-only, which means 18 and up. If you are a parent of a little one, we encourage you to find a sitter so you can enjoy a worry-free night out with us.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Find our wedding registry on the registry page on this website. While we are on the topic of gifts, if you plan on writing a check, please address it to Ray Schoonmaker III or Kirsten Magas only. (We do share finances, but we do not yet have a joint account; writing both of our names on the address line will only ensure we cannot cash your check.)
