We met in our first-year design studio in the fall of September 2009. Studios were set up in large open plan rooms where Pratt would pack in 3-4 different classes, around 50 students overall. The space was divided up with what we “architects” call pin-up walls, basically walls on wheels that do nothing for sound control. You could hear everyone and everything. What caught my attention that day was Kirsten laughing and talking with a friend we both knew from earlier that semester. What a better way to meet new people than through a friend? I hoisted myself up just enough to pop my head over the pin-up wall and say “hey guys” only to see what a beautiful woman stood on the other side. From then on, we spent our time together mingled in with our tight knit Pratt crew. It wasn’t until a few years and multiple studios later that we decided enough is enough and that a proper romantic date was in order. So obviously, I asked Marco out to the laundromat and we did our laundry together. Free from distractions we laughed and talked for hours, long past the last folded shirt. Fast forward 3 years later and we decided what better way to live in Brooklyn than to live with the one you love? And split rent? Yes! It was a match meant to be. In the end it was one of the best decisions we ever made. Forever knowing that our most loved, cherished better half would always be waiting for the other when they got home from a long day’s work. It’s the best feeling in the world; walking through the front door and knowing that the love of your life is waiting for you... Thanks Nala!! All joking aside we truly can't wait to celebrate with you!!! Please join us as we exchange vows and start our next chapter together!!!
