Georgetown is an adorable small town about 50minutes west of Denver. The real view is driving through town and up the mountain pass behind it to see some of the most brilliant fall Aspens you've ever seen! Georgetown Loop Railroad also has a really popular train ride that will take you there if you want to just sit and soak in the views. https://www.georgetownlooprr.com/
You've all heard about RMNP! If you're in town a few extra days, it is a gorgeous park to visit, about 1.5hrs west of Denver area. You'll need a 1 day pass ($30) or a 7-day pass ($35) and to make a reservation in advance. There are also MANY state parks you can visit for a smaller fee, or lots of free open space areas where you can hike, picnic or frolic for free (ask us our favorite ones!).
