What will the weather be like?

Answer

The weather in Denver is usually gorgeous in September! Castle Rock is slightly higher elevation, so it is a little cooler. Average high is 77, average low 44 for the month. That said-- weather here changes quickly! It is possible it will be hotter... and also possible it will snow. We're hoping for lovely 70s-80s but plan to bring some sunscreen AND a jacket, just in case.

How do I plan for higher altitude?

Answer

The altitude in Castle Rock, CO is about 1000ft higher than the Mile High City, at approx 6,500ft. It is considered high plains desert. This means: the sun is more brilliant, the temperature very dry (yay no humidity!), and the nights get much cooler. You'll want to stay hydrated, have ChapStick handy, bring clothing layers (especially for mountain adventures), and protect yourself from extended direct sunshine. Also- sea-level folks-don't be surprised if you feel a little winded climbing stairs...or the champagne hits you a little harder, altitude will do that, too! The perk: You won't be as sweaty, and your hair won't frizz up after you style it. Yay!!

What's the venue like?

Answer

We're glad you asked! The venue is at a private property about 5 miles outside of the city of Caste Rock. We are planning for an outdoor ceremony (weather permitting) and indoor reception in their lovely 7,200 square foot horse arena. The floor of the arena is covered with wood chips, so that means stilettos will probably not be your friend, and closed-toed or platform-type shoes will be! Really, we just want you to wear your favorite dancing shoes.

What if I don't like tacos?

Answer

There will be appetizers and beverages and cake... and you can make a taco salad, instead ;) There will be options for gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan-friendly tacos, as well. (We really hope you like tacos!)

What is there to do in the area?

Answer

We love to play, try out local fare and fancy cocktails, and have a lot of ideas up our sleeve. Check out the "Things to do" tab and if you're hankering for a specific recommendation, shoot us a message!

Will there be dancing?

Answer

Ummm. If that was not already clear: YES! We are most excited about seeing our favorite people, saying "yes" to each other, and having the dance party of a lifetime. As such, we have hired a DJ all the way from Texas. If you have a favorite "must play" song, respond to the RSVP question and let us know! We'll do our best to add it to the lineup.

Do you have a wedding hashtag for photos?

Answer

Yes! If you choose to post any photos from the wedding on Instagram (pretty please?!), we would LOVE for you to use the hashtag #mollyandaustin2022. That way, anyone who types that hashtag into the search bar can look back and reminisce on special moments from the day, all in one spot!

Are kiddos invited to?

Answer

We love kids! Children are welcome to attend, but unfortunately we are not able to provide childcare at this venue. If they want to dance the night away with us, we say bring them! If you want some "me time" to party with other adults, a babysitter is a great idea.
