It all began in 1976. Edita was hired by Kirk's company to bolster the office staff. She was very capable and immediately made her mark. Kirk asked her if she would be willing to manage our new IBM computer system. She was more than willing to take on this responsibility without hesitation. The years passed and the company became more dependent on technology and Edita. She was certainly a star and Kirk was very proud to have her. Eventually she moved to a new challenge and became head of human resources. Kirk had the utmost respect for her. She truly watched his back and was never hesitant to give advice. They worked together for over 25 years. As the company grew, their friendship grew. After they both left, they stayed in touch. As their lives changed, they developed an emotional attraction. They spent more time with each other. In one brief shining moment, they divulged their love for each other as well as their future together.
