FAQs

If you have any other questions that are not listed here, please contact Sarah at 724-685-9150
Question

What's the plan for the day?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 2 pm. There will be some pictures taken after and then a reception to follow. The menu includes pulled pork and chicken tacos, Southern style mac and cheese, salad, and desserts. Sarah has always dreamed of having a bonfire, so plan for that as well! If you are musical and want to bring an instrument to chill around the fire, that'd be great!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Cocktail attire is preferred. Festivities are currently planned for outdoors, so prepare accordingly. March in North Carolina is largely unpredictable, so a jacket is recommended.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 2, so preferably before that. 1:45 would be the latest that we would suggest.

Question

Should I bring anything?

Answer

You are the only thing that is requested! However, if you'd like to bring a gift, check out our registry. We will also be having a catered reception and some amazing desserts, but more food is always welcome.

Question

Why March 8th?

Answer

Short answer: why not? Long answer: Stephen will be on Spring Break the following week, making it more ideal to take time off. Also, we didn't want to get married in the summer due to heat, timing, and lease logistics.

Question

Are children or plus ones invited?

Answer

Unless your RSVP specifically has an additional person listed, we request that they stay home. Contact Sarah for any special requests.

Question

I'm traveling in: Where should I stay?

Answer

We recommend finding accommodations close to Sanford, NC. There are a few Airbnbs in the area as well as some hotels. If you want to stay closer to Sarah or Stephen, the Raleigh-Durham area is more ideal (although both individuals may not be overly available to hang out much beforehand).

Question

Where are you honeymooning?

Answer

We will be going to a community in Western NC that is asking for tourists. When we talked about where to go, we both agreed that if there's somewhere that we can help while still getting away, then it's a win-win.

Question

Did I hear you're planning two weddings?

Answer

Short answer: Yes, sort of. Long answer: We were both fine with eloping and strongly considered it. But we decided that we wanted our family and closest friends there (aka you). However, as there are people that we want to celebrate with, we are planning an additional event later in the year. Details to come!

Question

Anything else I should be aware of?

Answer

We are both fairly chill people (i.e. we will forgo a lot of pomp and circumstance). So, make this day whatever you want it to be. If you want to just chill in the corner-great! Eat food and chat-awesome! Light things on fire-okay maybe not that... But have fun and be yourself!
