Do I have to stay in Banff?

Answer

Nope! You can also look in Canmore. However, our shuttle after the wedding will only drop off in the town of Banff. There are cabs available though and you can park your car or rental at the venue overnight.

Do I have to book one of the hotels you listed?

Answer

Heck no, feel free to stay in a tent, camper, motel, a completely different hotel (there are a decent amount in Banff), or some other cool Airbnb you find online!

Do I have to rent a car?

Answer

No, check out the travel page for airport shuttle options. Banff is small enough to walk/cab it. If you want to explore neighboring towns like Canmore or Jasper, you will need to rent a car.

Do I need Canadian currency?

Answer

Most places take a credit card (just check to see if your credit card company charges for international transactions). If you want to use cash you can ask your bank about doing a currency exchange before you leave, OR you can use an ATM in Canada and pull out Canadian cash pretty easily, you'll just pay the ATM fee.

You're damn right it is! Our plan is to have a few Canadian and Texan favourites.

Can I park overnight at the venue?

Answer

Sure can, we will have a shuttle taking people down the mountain to the town of Banff. You can also just take a cab. We don't recommend walking, unless you brought your bear spray and hiking gear.

Will you offer childcare?

We won't have anyone at the wedding, but you can check out http://childcarebanff.com/childcare-rates/ for childcare options in the town of Banff! They do in-room service and can help with any day/hour of your needs. We want this to be a fun, enjoyable vacation for all!
