Camp Balcones Springs
If you're not staying at Camp, you can still be a camper with us! A $20 day pass includes lunch and access to all available Camp activities (e.g., basketball, tennis, sand volleyball, pickle ball, hiking, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, fishing, and more). 30 min from Camp. Explore our 36th President's legacy through Sam Johnson Sr.'s cabin, LBJ's birthplace and boyhood home, the "Texas White House", and Visitor Center highlighting his political career. Luckenbach
20 minutes from Marble Falls. Established in 1849 as a trading post, today this tiny town's oldest building is a combined general store, post office, and saloon. Luckenbach hosts classic, live, Texas music and is the subject of several famous country songs by the likes of “Waylon and Willie and the boys.” See luckenbachtexas.com.
Longhorn Caverns
35 minutes from Camp. These limestone caverns were used over the years by indigenous peoples, Confederate soldiers, and even outlaws. Once the location of a 1920’s speakeasy, the caverns are now open to visitors and remain a cool 68 degrees year-round. Call (512) 715-9000.
