This is the best option for places to stay, but it is not the closest. This area will have many options of places to book. EPIC passholders also get 20% off their bookings. You can also find many Airbnbs in the area without booking directly through the resort. This area will not likely have an Ubers for transportation. We may provide a shuttle option for people staying in the area if we have enough, so let us know if this is where you will be staying!

Flight

Reno Airport

The Reno airport is smaller than Sacramento and has fewer flights. It is a shorter drive to South Lake Tahoe though! It takes just over an hour to get to Tahoe and takes 2 hours to get to The HideOut straight from the airport. Directions from Reno: Take Highway 395 south toward Minden/Gardnerville. Turn Right onto Hwy 88 West. Follow Highway 88 for about 45-60 miles (this is an estimate). When you see the Mormon Emigrant Trail Sign, remain on Highway 88 & clock 1-½ miles. Turn left onto paved driveway, 43300 Highway 88. Watch for the bicyclist “‘SHARE THE ROAD SIGN”. A large bear will greet you. Follow road for 2 miles. At the lake turn right and go up over Pucker Butt Hill. It is steep but manageable. At the top it takes a sharp right. Follow the dirt road around to the lodge.
