Border Requirements

Starting April 1 2022, COVID-19 tests are no longer required for fully vaccinated people coming into Canada. You will have to have your passport, as well as the address of where you will be staying as you cross into Canada. At this time, there appear to be no requirements to re-enter the US specific to COVID-19. To the extent it is foreseeable for the timing of the wedding, it appears one should be prepared with proof of vaccination and an eligible form of ID (passport), but there do not appear to be specific COVID-19 testing requirements.

Flight

Calgary International Airport (YYC)

YYC is the best bet for international travelers entering this portion of Alberta. YYC is in the city of Calgary (hometown of the bride!) and is located just over a one hour car ride from our venue in the town of Canmore. Air Canada, West Jet, United and Delta tend to offer the best bang for your buck when it comes to short travel length and minimal layovers.

Canmore or Calgary?

Overall, staying in Canmore or Calgary is up to personal preference. Calgary is about an hour drive, but has more of a city feel and has its own set of things to do while you are in town. Canmore is where the wedding will take place, and is a small mountain town feel with close access to Alberta's gorgeous Provincial Parks such as Banff and Jasper. We have only provided hotel information as given by the venue, and could go on forever about options in Calgary. If you need advice about any lodging, feel free to ask!

In addition to hotels in the area, Canmore has a notable amount of houses in resort communities available on AirBnB for affordable rates. We highly recommend this if it appeals to you, as you may be able to have more friends and family split the cost. The venue is located in southern Canmore, close to the Bow Flats Natural Area.
