The couple met in 2013 at a birthday party in Tia's hometown, Petersburg, VA. Toure saw Tia sitting at a table alone being "cute and anti-social" as he would describe. He then invited her to come over to his table. They introduced themselves and instantly found they had a lot in common with their education, faith, "bougieness", and hobbies. Numbers were exchanged and they talked every single day! The first date Toure rode up 85N on his motorcycle and met Tia in Rawlings to chat and have lunch. It was the first of many dates where they would sip lattes, listen to music, and get to know one another. One day, Tia told Toure they could be really great friends, to which he replied, "I'm not trying to be your friend, I'm in this for longevity!" Since that day forward they have spent almost 8 years getting to know each other, traveling the world, and making lasting memories.
